Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The episode began with a flashback taking place at the guardian academy. Bob was still a cadet and he was to take part in a virus deletion with his female mentor, Dixon. What was the name of the virus that the two were scheduled to delete?

Answer: Kilobyte

Already in his academy days, it was made clear that Bob was not someone who believed in deletion. He tried to talk with his mentor about how they didn't know the virus' story or the virus himself. The mentor told Bob that the virus was made by a user and it was programmed to destroy systems. She clearly did not sympathize on the level that Bob did.
2. While Bob and Dixon were getting ready to delete the mysterious virus, it somehow managed to break free. As it began to approach the two guardians, Bob's mentor realized that the virus was doing something very dangerous. What was the virus doing?

Answer: It was upgrading.

As Bob and his mentor finished up their discussion on user mentality, Kilobyte, broke free of his containment. Bob's mentor called in a Code-417, meaning that the virus was upgrading. Bob ran at Kilobyte, but he was knocked unconscious. Bob's mentor, on the other hand, was stabbed and killed by Kilobyte. Before the virus could kill Bob, it evolved into Gigabyte and it was sucked out of the guardian's virus deletion chamber via a portal.
3. Back in the present day, Turbo was in containment. He informed Bob that Bob was meant to be Daemon's messenger. Turbo also revealed why Bob was the messenger. Why was Bob the messenger?

Answer: Bob was the only guardian who could create portals.

When the guardians were infected by the virus, all of their keytools left them. With Bob uninfected and also fused with Glitch, Daemon saw him as the perfect tool to infect the hidden systems of the Net. She could potentially get Bob to open up portals to all of the uninfected systems and infect them all.
4. Daecon, one of Daemon's highest ranking messengers, informed Daemon that he and the guardians could not break through Mouse's encryption of the firewall. When he informed her of his failure, what did she do to him?

Answer: She had deleted him.

While she was talking to AndrAIa about the nature of love, Daecon showed up to tell Daemon the less than pleasurable news. He asked for her forgiveness, so she said he was forgiven. Daemon then told him to execute Code-101. Daecon began a backwards count in binary code. At the end of the countdown, Daecon disintegrated and the energy left over was absorbed by Daemon.
5. While Dot and Hex were searching for the null of Wellman Matrix, Hexadecimal informed Dot that she was born in the explosion that made Lost Angles. A flashback sequence triggered back to when Wellman had found a new system with his gateway command. At the end of the sequence it was revealed exactly what had caused the destruction of the twin city. Was it Wellman's fault, as previously believed?

Answer: No

When Wellman got a lock on the new system, he was as excited as a child. He had the potential to access or speak with the residents of a new system. Instead, the super-virus, Gigabyte arrived through the gateway. The huge power-surge split Gigabyte into two parts: Megabyte and Hexadecimal.

After the split, the energy ended up destroying the twin city's Principal Office core. With that destruction, the entire twin city was vanquished.
6. After the flashback, Phong was talking to Bob in the Principal Office. He scanned Bob and was about to tell Bob some bad news, when Bob informed Phong that he already knew what the bad news was. What was the bad news that Bob already knew about?

Answer: Merging with Glitch did not work for him.

After Phong finished his conversation with little Enzo, Bob showed up at Phong's office. After getting Bob to look at an ink-blot, Phong was ready to give Bob the results of his scan. Bob told Phong that merging with Glitch did not work because Glitch was broken.

The only reason he did it was so that he could open a portal back to Mainframe from the Web. Bob was also told by Phong that continued use of the powers at Glitch's disposal would eventually result in Bob's deletion.
7. Desperate to get AndrAIa back, Matrix and Mouse ventured outside the firewall to Daemon's lair. Did Mouse and Matrix manage to at least get AndrAIa back from Daemon?

Answer: No

Matrix and Mouse had both misjudged Daemon's power. Matrix attacked first. He snuck into Daemon's lair and had his gun target something which he thought was her. It turned out to be AndrAIa. As he noticed Daemon hovering down to him, he fired a shot. Daemon stopped the bullet and let it explode. Daemon was unharmed. Mouse then jumped out from behind a pillar and tried to cut Daemon's head off with her sword, but the sword broke. Daemon promptly infected Matrix and Mouse after the futile rescue attempt. What was worse, it also meant that the firewall to Mainframe would be insecure because Mouse's codes now belonged to Daemon.
8. While talking to Turbo about how to stop Daemon, Turbo reminded Bob about the mess in the guardian's virus deletion chamber. Yet another flashback sequence began. Bob was standing at his dying mentor's side. Before she died, her keytool separated from her and chose Bob. What was the keytool's name?

Answer: Glitch

As Dixon was dying, Bob was telling her to hold on. She informed Bob that it was too late for her. As she began to die, her keytool downloaded something from her and then separated from her. As she died, she evaporated into a stream of white energy. Bob was extremely saddened, while Glitch hovered around and chose Bob as it's new guardian.
9. Immediately after the death of Dixon, Bob decided to use her keytool to track down the virus that had escaped containment. Bob ended up in Mainframe's decimated twin city. When he introduced himself to Dot, she blamed Bob for the tragedy.

Answer: True

When Bob showed up, he began to mend the tears that began showing up in Lost Angles. Dot met him and asked who he was. Bob told her that he was a guardian from the Net. He apologized for what had happened, but Dot took that as a confession of the crime.

She lunged at him and began crying as she started hitting his guardian body armor. As she did that, Turbo and a team of two other high-ranking guardians arrived to ask if everything was alright with Bob.
10. Back in the Principal Office holding cells, Bob continued talking to Turbo. Turbo was telling Bob that Daemon was correct in her belief of a unified Net. Bob disagreed, claiming that the Net was meant to be varied. Earlier, Bob had tried to cure Turbo using his guardian code. Although it didn't entirely work, how did Turbo manage to suppress the infection?

Answer: He was able to fight it using his own willpower.

Earlier in the episode, Bob fired a beam from his guardian icon. The beam knocked Turbo down and it managed to suppress, but not cure, the infection. Like Turbo did in season three, he fought the infection off as long as he could. Free of the virus for the moment, he told Bob all of the secrets of Daemon.

He also told Bob that they would have to find a way to delete Daemon. Bob told Turbo that he did not believe in deletion. Turbo then condescendingly told Bob that it was much too dangerous a virus to keep alive.

As Turbo struggled to fight the infection, he asked Bob why Bob's guardian code hadn't cured him. Bob did not have an answer.
