This was from the seventh season episode "Marge Be Not Proud". Earlier in the episode, Marge opened the refrigerator to find nothing but egg nog. Homer told her they had to enjoy it while they could, because after Christmas the government would take it away. He even poured some over his cereal.

In this season 12 episode, Homer and Ned rescued the kids by attaching Ned's roof to Ned's car. They hit a silo which spilled salt all over the ground and melted the snow. While the kids were trapped in the school, Skinner showed them a film about a "grinchy little character who tried to steal Christmas".

It was called "The Christmas That Almost Wasn't But Then Was" and was produced in 1938. After a while, Bart got tired of taking orders from a military-like Skinner and the kids took over.
