Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was arriving in National City at the beginning of the episode?

Answer: An important politician

It was Sen. Miranda Crane, who was fighting to pass anti-alien laws. She was a "lightning rod for bigots" according to Cat Grant.
2. Who drew the assignment from Cat to cover the press conference early in the episode?

Answer: James

James Olsen, who was bored being stuck in the office doing designs, got the assignment despite being an editor and not a reporter for the company. He got the assignment by arguing that he was the most experienced photojournalist on staff. He had left the "Daily Planet" to come work for CatCo in the pilot. Since joining Cat he had done very little field work.
3. Did Cat know that Kara had mailed Adam a letter?

Answer: No

The letter had been started by Cat, and finished by Kara. Cat had never intended Adam, her adult son, to receive the letter. They had been estranged since shortly after his birth.
4. Who or what attacked during the press conference?

Answer: A white Martian

They were the other species of Martian, not the same as J'onn J'onzz. J'onzz, had a flashback to seeing several of them fighting his own people back on Mars. The DEO was there disguised as FBI.
5. Who did the villain of the week impersonate?

Answer: Sen. Crane

The white Martian sneaked into the DEO base as the senator. She then attacked everyone in the base after revealing herself. Several agents were killed and she tried to expose Hank as an alien.
6. The dinner for Cat and Adam went perfectly.

Answer: False

Cat called Kara and demanded that she "fix it" since dinner had gone poorly. Eventually Kara managed to get the two of them in a room together again, with her serving as a mediator. The two connected as mother and son for the first time in their lives.
7. Where was the villain hiding after it escaped from the DEO?

Answer: In the sewers

Hank was able to track the white Martian in its original form because it had lost a finger during the fight at the DEO. He used a machine to trace the DNA back to where it was hiding.
8. How many children did the Martian Manhunter have on Mars?

Answer: 2

He revealed this to Kara and Alex before telling them that he would be proud to call them his daughters. Despite them not knowing it, he had been acting as a surrogate father for years anyway. Several episodes earlier he had revealed that he had promised their dad he would watch over them.
9. How did J'onn subdue Supergirl during the final fight with the Martian?

Answer: He used kryptonite handcuffs.

Supergirl managed to talk him out of killing the white Martian, despite not being able to physically intervene. J'onn wanted to kill the white Martian in revenge of the genocide her people had put his kind (green Martians) through on their home planet.
10. Who was the second apparent villain to appear in the episode?

Answer: Bizarro Supergirl

The apparent Supergirl clone was seen tossing a car off a bridge near the end of the episode. It wasn't revealed who this character came to be, instead setting up for the next episode.
