Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The title of the first episode, "You Guys Are Dumber Than You Look", was Jonny Fairplay's comment to Airai, the tribe that consisted of ten fans. He said this before the start of their very first immunity challenge. Airai proved him wrong by winning the challenge, which sent Malakal to their first Tribal Council. Which player, who said that he kept thinking of his pregnant girlfriend and unborn daughter, was voted out of the game?

Answer: Jonny Fairplay

The 16th season of "Survivor" featured ten "Survivor" fans and ten contestants from the past seasons. All the fans were in the Airai tribe while the favorites were in the Malakal tribe. At the first Tribal Council, Jonny said he was emotionally not ready for the game as he kept thinking about her pregnant girlfriend and unborn daughter at home.

After the votes were cast, Jonny received nine votes while Ozzy received one. Jonny became the first person to be voted out of the game.
2. The title of the second episode, "The Sounds of Jungle Love" was Cirie's comment about the sounds that she heard at night. She was actually implying the love affairs of the two couples in her Malakal tribe and she said she would try to break those close alliances apart. One of the couples that she meant was James and Parvati. Who was the other couple?

Answer: Ozzy and Amanda

In an interview, Ozzy admitted that he was attracted to Amanda. He realized about this and he said he needed to stay far from her as it would be very dangerous for him if the remaining tribe members found out about this.

Malakal won the second immunity challenge. They sent Kathy from the Airai tribe and Cirie from their own tribe to Exile Island. Both of them managed to find several clues pointing to the location of the Hidden Immunity Idol but they failed to locate the idol.

At Tribal Council, Mary was blindsided and eliminated from the game after receiving six votes. Tracy and Chet received two votes each.
3. The title of the third episode, "I Should Be Carried on the Chariot-Type Thing!" was Cirie's hilarious thought on how the other players should treat her to gain her vote. The Malakal tribe was divided into two groups of four - James, Parvati, Ozzy, Amanda in one alliance, and Jonathan, Yau-Man, Eliza and Ami in another. After losing the immunity challenge, Cirie was adamant about voting out one particular person because she thought that he was smart. Which contestant, previously appeared on "Survivor: Fiji", was voted out at Tribal Council?

Answer: Yau-Man

Cirie felt that they should all vote out Yau-Man because he was a very smart player, and if he was sent to Exile Island, he would definitely find the Hidden Immunity Idol. However, Ozzy disagreed with her. He said that they should vote out Eliza who he thought was the weakest player.
4. The title of the fourth episode, "That's Baked, Barbecued and Fried!" referred to the names that James gave to the chickens that his Malakal tribe won from the reward challenge. Later, Malakal also won the immunity challenge. They sent Kathy to Exile Island for the third consecutive time, with Ozzy joining her. Ozzy managed to find the Hidden Immunity Idol on Exile Island and he created a fake idol. What did he do with the fake idol?

Answer: He placed it at the place where he found the real idol.

Ozzy knew that he did not have much time before the sky turned dark so he tried to look for as many clues as possible. After four clues, he managed to locate the Hidden Immunity Idol, hidden under a rock. He then decided to fashion a fake idol and placed it at the place where he found the real idol.

At Tribal Council, Mikey B was blindsided and voted out.
5. The title of the fifth episode, "He's a Ball of Goo!", was Joel's description about Chet. He said Chet was too weak to play the game. In this episode, Jeff announced a tribal switch. After the switch, Joel ended up in the new Malakal tribe again with Chet. The new Malakal tribe lost both the reward and immunity challenges. Joel told everyone they should vote off Chet, but Cirie felt that Joel was a bigger threat. Which player, who was a firefighter, was voted off at Tribal Council?

Answer: Joel

Cirie sensed that Joel really played the game and therefore was a bigger threat. On the other hand, Chet did not play the game well and hence was not a threat at all to them. At Tribal Council, Joel received six votes while Chet received two.
6. The title of the sixth episode, "It Hit Everyone Pretty Hard" was a reference to several incidents happened in the episode. Firstly, Parvati fell from a wooden pole and hit her tribemates during the immunity challenge. Secondly, Jonathan from the Airai tribe was evacuated from the game and this reality hit his tribemates even more when they lost both the reward and immunity challenges. What happened to Jonathan that caused him to withdraw from the game?

Answer: He injured his knee in the previous challenge.

In the fifth episode, Jonathan injured his knee during the physical demanding reward challenge. The medic team stitched the wound up but the infection started to spread over the next few days. The doctor then advised Jonathan to get treatment in hospital because the infection could possibly go into the bloodstream and it was fatal.

On another note, Jason found the fake Hidden Immunity Idol on Exile Island while Airai voted out Chet at Tribal Council.
7. The title of the seventh episode, "Like a Wide-Eyed Kid in the Candy Store", was Ozzy's comment about Erik when their Malakal tribe won their reward challenge and was taken to enjoy the nice reward. In this episode, which Airai tribe member decided to quit the game because he/she felt very uncomfortable with the miserable condition at the campsite and he/she missed his/her family?

Answer: Kathy

Kathy decided to quit and Jeff arrived at the campsite. She said sorry to her tribemates. Previously, Jonathan was evacuated from the game because he had a serious knee injury.
8. The title of the eighth episode, "A Lost Puppy Dog" was the way Ozzy described a particular player. After Malakal lost the immunity challenge, that player knew he/she was on the chopping block since he/she was the only fan left in his/her tribe. He/she tried to convince the other tribemembers to vote for Ami instead. Which player, who also injured his/her chest during the immunity challenge, was Ozzy referring to?

Answer: Erik

Erik told Ozzy that Ami had planned to vote Ozzy out before. Ozzy decided to vote for Ami but Amanda felt that they should vote for Erik instead. At Tribal Council, Ami received four votes while Erik received one.
9. The title of the ninth episode, "I'm in Such a Hot Pickle", was Parvati's comment about herself. She knew that after the merge, she was in two alliances. The first one was with James, Ozzy and Amanda; while the second one was with Alexis, Natalie and Amanda. At Tribal Council, Eliza was voted out. What interesting thing happened before she was voted out?

Answer: She played the fake Hidden Immunity Idol.

Erik suggested the new tribe name for the merged tribe, Dabu. He claimed that the word "dabu" meant good in Micronesian, but in the interview, he admitted that he just made up that funny word. Jason outlasted Ozzy in the individual immunity challenge and decided to give the idol to Eliza.

She pointed out that it was clearly a typical wooden stick and not a real idol, but she wanted to give it a shot and played it at Tribal Council. Jeff confirmed that it was not a real idol and Eliza was eliminated from the game.
10. The title of the tenth episode, "I Promise..." referred to the words given by the other tribe members to Jason for him to lose the individual immunity challenge on purpose so that they all could enjoy a nice meal. With nine people left in the game, and Parvati winning the individual immunity challenge, this episode featured one of the most shocking blindsides in the history of "Survivor". Which contestant, who was known for his/her athletic skills, and decided not to play his/her Hidden Immunity Idol, was voted out at Tribal Council?

Answer: Ozzy

Jason and Parvati were the last two standing in the individual immunity challenge. By giving up the challenge, all the members enjoyed a nice meal, thanks to Jason. Jeff commented that it was a risky move for Jason. On another note, Cirie commented that it would be the perfect timing for them to blindside Ozzy. Ozzy admitted in the interview at the end of the episode that he was getting to comfortable and should have played the idol. Ozzy received five votes while Jason received four.
