Kaley Cuoco has played Penny since the "Pilot" episode. Kaley Cuoco also had a role in the comedy "8 Simple Rules". Penny is the attractive, normal neighbor of Leonard and Sheldon, two geeky roommates who are both socially-awkward physicists.

These mentioned parts include playing Anne Frank and a role in an anti-depressant commercial.

We learn this in "The Psychic Vortex" when Leonard apologizes to Penny for laughing at her when she told him she went to a psychic. When Leonard goes to apologize, Penny informs him she also believes in ghosts, astrology, and voodoo. However, she says she does not believe in crystals.

Omaha is Nebraska's largest town, in terms of population, and Lincoln is the second largest. We learn that Penny was born in Omaha during the "Pilot" episode. She grew up on a farm, and once mentioned that she rebuilt a tractor engine and was in a junior rodeo.

Played by Brian Patrick Wade, he made his first appearance in the "Pilot". Leonard and Sheldon went to Kurt's apartment to pick up Penny's TV and they returned home without pants. Penny and Kurt had just broken up because he had cheated on her, but Penny said she still loved him. Kurt is a muscular, tall, and intimidating bully, and he and Penny dated for four years.

He showed up twice more during the 1st and 2nd seasons, only to be confronted by Leonard.

The guys had just come back from a Renaissance Fair, and were climbing the stairs when they ran into Penny and Eric. Leonard was wearing an embarrassing medieval outfit that looked like a dress. Eric said to Howard that he liked his jester's hat and Howard replied, "Thanks! My mom made it!" Eric was played by Travis Schuldt.

Sheldon showed her the game after she became sad over a number of things, including not being able to open her door. She eventually became addicted and called on Sheldon constantly at all hours for advice. When she agreed to go on a virtual date with Howard, she slammed her computer shut and quit the game.

She did because her friend from Omaha was seducing Howard, and they were hooking up in her bed. This was during Halo Night (Wednesday), and since Howard was unavailable the guys needed Penny to complete their team. They played Halo 3; the game was released a month and a half before "The Dumpling Paradox" was aired in the US. Penny was quite good at the game, much to Sheldon's annoyance.
