Answer: Buffy and Angel

He said this to them in the episode "Lover's Walk", when he returned to Sunnydale after he and Drusilla broke up.

He returned to Sunnydale because Dru had broken up with him, and he wanted a way to get her back. He kidnapped Willow and Xander in the hopes that Willow would cast a love spell. While they were locked in the basement, Willow and Xander shared a kiss, only to have Oz and Cordelia to walk in on them while trying to save them.

Angelus was torturing Giles to find out information about how to activate the statue in the episode "Becoming Part 2". Angelus wanted to kill him, but Spike knew that if he let him do that, Buffy would kill Dru.

She told Xander he was a demon magnet, causing demons to attack him and Anya in his basement. She also said that Buffy should go and marry Spike. Within minutes they were planning their wedding, making Giles very confused.
