Answer: Cholera

Georgia was swimming in the river near their home and a dead body floated to the surface. The baby was born healthy as was Martha Benny's child born a few minutes later. The baby had gotten sick with cholera and died quickly.
2. Following the death of their child, where did Georgia and Peter move to?

Answer: San Marcos

Georgia and Euphemia had run into each other in Seguin although Euphemia didn't notice her at first. She later paid a long overdue call on Georgia who very pregnant. Ed Tom had sold the cotton for a little over $4,000 so Georgia ordered a new house built and a series of smaller homes for all the Woods' slaves.

Euphemia was working in the barn when William surprised her with his return, uninjured. Joel McClure and Peter Woods returned from the war injured and Joel died of his injuries.

Answer: Tarantula

Her best childhood friend was part Indian but Tarantula's braves tortured her best friend Mattie Lockhart. His medicine had healed an arrow wound in Sara's leg. Euphemia got off her horse after noticing the hat he always wore.

Tarantula: "You brave Squaw child." Euphemia: "You shouldn't have to walk. Here take my horse." After seeing everyone give her ugly looks she shouted out, "You see! I have given him my horse!"
