Paris is trying to convince the Doctor to alter his holonovel "Photons Be Free" when the crew is worried and upset that the characters seem to be based on negative versions of themselves.

Mezoti says this line to Icheb in the episode in which she, Azan, and Rebi leave Voyager for good.
