Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Assuming that the "blinding flash of light" indicates the beginning of a new time loop, how many time loops did Col. O'Neill and Teal'C go through onscreen?

Answer: 21

Yep, 21 times. However, if you figure each loop was the entire 10 hours, it still doesn't add up to the 3 months that Major Carter said that they were stuck in the looping time. There's temporal mechanics for you!
2. How long was each time loop?

Answer: 10 hours

According to Dr. Jackson, the loop was 10 hours. "Well, think about it, who would make a device that would loop time only 10 hours?"
3. What are the names of the people that remember every time loop?

Answer: O'Neill, Teal'C, Malikai

Yep, did you forget about Malikai? Malikai also was aware of the time loops, especially since he started them. Malakai, Teal'C, and O'Neill were all encompassed in the bright light.
4. What was Colonel O'Neill eating every time the loop started again?

Answer: Froot Loops

Every time the loop started, he was eating his good ol' Froot Loops. It looks like Daniel was eating the pancakes. Jack started eating oatmeal when they finally broke the time loops.
5. What did Major Carter want to do on the planet where all this started?

Answer: study coronal mass emissions from the star

I don't pretend to know what Major Carter was talking about, but I know that's what she wanted to do there. Daniel, of course, wanted to meet Malakai and discuss the Ancients' ruins on that planet.
6. What SG team surveyed P4X 639 and met Malakai before SG-1 gated there?

Answer: SG-15

This was plainly stated by Daniel at least three times.

The first time was in the first loop when O'Neill was getting examined by Frasier and he was talking to Daniel about how Daniel was speaking to Malakai. Daniel responded, "The alien archaeologist that SG-15 met on the first survey?"

The second time was when Daniel was showing O'Neill the "400 pages of alien text". He stated that SG-15 took the photos.

The third was when they were talking to Malakai.
7. What do the words "perennial adventus" mean?

Answer: the approaching disaster

Daniel is going over the text from the ruins with Jack and Teal'C, and this was stated I believe two loops in a row. Teal'C pipes in with the answer since they had gone over it in a previous loop.
8. When Col. O'Neill and Teal'C were golfing into the Stargate, to what planet were they hitting the golf balls?

Answer: Alaris

While they were golfing, Jack asks Teal'C, "How far is Alaris, anyway?" Teal'C responds, "Several billion miles." O'Neill comments that "has to be a record."
9. Why does O'Neill resign in the second-to-last loop?

Answer: so he can kiss Carter

Yes, that one thing that is a long time coming, but the rules and regulations are getting in the way. Since he's in the time loop, and nothing is "permanent", he can resign and basically still be in the service with the next loop. When the loop begins, his resignation will not happen, right?
10. Here's a little math for you in relation to the episode. Assuming that the three months quoted by the Tok'ra is exactly how long that everyone was in the time loop, how many loops did O'Neill and Teal'C have to endure (assume 1 month equals 30 days)?

Answer: 216

Here's how you figure it out: 1 month = 30 days. 1 day = 24 hours. That comes out to 720 hours in a month. In three months, there is 2,160 hours. Each time loop from the episode is 10 hours. You just divide 10 into 2,160 (2,160 / 10), and that gives you 216 time loops.
