Halfrek was a friend of Anya's back when she was the vengeance demon Anyanka. Halfrek was a guest at Xander and Anya's foiled wedding.

Kendra was called as the next slayer after Buffy died at the hands of the Master. In a strange twist of events Xander revived Buffy,causing there to be two slayers in the world for the first time in history.
