Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. To get to Kremwood Forest, what must you do?

Answer: Complete Lake Orangatanga

Kremwood Forest, the second stage of the game is only reachable if you defeat Belcha, the boss of Lake Orangatanga, and proceed around the region of the map to the entry point. While you do need the Motorboat to reach both areas, the Hovercraft is not received until after. Like all other stages of the game, no fare is required to enter.

The area is due north of Lake Orangatanga and has a forest theme.
2. During Barrel Shield Bust-Up, what animals throw acorns at Dixie and Kiddy?

Answer: Monkeys

Known as Minkies, these monkey creatures can not be defeated by any means; they'll hang from the trees in this otherwise vertical course and, while the Kongs try to ascend to the finish, they'll throw acorns in an attempt to knock them off the ropes. One hit from an acorn will take out a Kong, so using timing and protective barrel shields will be the only real option to advance.

This is the first of several levels strung between two tall trees; more appear throughout the Kremwood Forest Region.
3. Which Kong appears earliest in Kremwood Forest?

Answer: Wrinkly

Immediately after completing the area's first level, Barrel Shield Bust-Up, the Kongs can check in with Wrinkly Kong in her Save Cave to track their progress in the game. This is notably earlier than the Save Cave in Lake Orangatanga. As usual, Wrinkly will be inside, either sleeping or doing her calisthenics or whatever. Swanky shows up after a few more levels, operating his fair games at the local sideshow (indicated on the map by the red and white circus tent.
4. Which of these characters is battled against in Riverside Race?

Answer: None of these

Riverside Race is only a race in two senses of the word. Firstly, this fast-paced track is one of the only ones in the series set to a timer; you can return at any time to create new personal best scores. Secondly, the race itself is not against any particular person.

Instead, the Kongs need to race through the course, sometimes on land and sometimes underwater, evading a swarm of angry bugs. If they're caught, that Kong is out as though they were hit by any other enemy. Be quick!
5. In Squeals on Wheels, how can the Kongs defeat the Sneeks in wheels?

Answer: Using metal barrels

In Squeals on Wheels, the final mill level of the game, the Kongs travel through an old mill making their way to the top when, really, the level ends at the very bottom floor. Throughout, several locked, metal doors will block the way, but, since they're only secured by the power generated from mice on wheels, they can be opened with a few well-placed barrels. Using replenishing metal barrels, the Kongs can end the Sneeks' runs and drop back to the bottom of the mill (via a long, locked chute), and race to the end.
6. In Springin' Spiders, standing underneath the jumping arachnids found throughout the level will hurt the Kongs.

Answer: False

While the 'Nids', as they're called, will jump around in the different corridors of this tree stage, standing anywhere underneath or around them will not hurt the Kongs. Oddly though, having a wooden barrel anywhere near the spiders' feet will destroy it.

This level involves a number of well-timed jumps, especially since the spiders will be doing the jumping for you (with platforms on their backs. Avoiding spiky Buzzes will be key. Squawks can also be found in this stage to help out.
7. What will happen if you beat Brash's time in the Riverside Race?

Answer: He'll get angry

Brash the Bear makes his place in the top left corner of the map, and after finishing Springin' Spiders, you can stop by for a visit. While his siblings are typically more inclined to do business, Brash is more of a bragger; he'll tell the Kongs his Riverside Race track time and challenge them to beat it. If they do, he'll get angry enough to knock a giant log into the river. Of course, someone with such a sensitive temperament isn't worth doing business with anyways, so that'll end your visit for now.
8. In Bobbing Barrel Brawl, it becomes apparent that Ellie can do which of these?

Answer: Shoot water

Ellie the Elephant, once again, is the star of the level (her second in which the Kongs transform into her). This time she needs to traverse the precarious barrels littering the riverside, avoiding enemies along the way. Here, a Nibbler will appear in the water, forcing her to stay afloat at all times, but to do that she'll need to make use of the water around her, sucking it into her trunk with the L button and firing with the R button.

This, in addition to her ability to suck in barrels (with the Y button) makes her extremely adaptable.
9. What do the Kongs receive when completing the Arich's Ambush boss battle?

Answer: A patch

Arich the Spider oversees this section of the game, and hiding amongst the trees, the battle against him can be quite tough if you don't have a bit of finesse. To win, you need to strike the underside of the spider with barrels which, unfortunately, are found at the top of the arena. Arich will fight back with balls of goo and jumping attacks, but after five barrels, the battle will end at the Kongs will receive a patch.

The patch, coincidentally, is exactly what Funky Kong needs to repair his hovercraft.
10. Does the boss of the area, Arich, make any appearance near Arich's Hoard?

Answer: No

Arich's Hoard actually seems to have less to do with Arich, the stage's boss, than it does with Brash the Bear. If you beat Brash's Riverside Race time, he'll get angry enough to dislodge a log, locking it into place along the river after Bobbing Barrel Brawl.

The Kongs can follow it to another crystal cavern, playing the crystal game for another Banana Bird. Other than the cave being named after Arich, it has no real relation to the spider boss itself.
