1. Which of these monsters can the Enemy Skill "Matra Magic" not be learned from?

Answer: Devil Ride

The Custom Sweeper, the Bull Motor and the Death Machine all teach Matra Magic. The Devil Ride doesn't teach any Enemy Skills at all.

2. Which of these items is not a prize won for playing the Submarine game at the Gold Saucer's Wonder Square?

Answer: S-Mine

The Cauldron, the T/S Bomb and the Dragon Scales can all be won via the Wonder Square's Submarine game. The S-Mine is simply an item dropped by various enemies, mostly Shinra soldiers, throughout the game.

3. How many weapons can be found in the Ancient Forest near Cosmo Canyon?

Answer: Three

These weapons are the Supershot ST, a gun for Vincent, the Spring Gun Clip, a hairpin for Red XIII and the Apocalypse, a sword for Cloud. All three are great weapons that are certainly worth going after.

4. How many pieces of equipment have NO materia slots?

Answer: Eleven

These are the Nail Bat, the Work Glove, the Rocket Punch, the Umbrella, the Hairpin, the Silver Rifle, the Superball, the Trumpet Shell, the Mop, the Bronze Bangle and the Ziedrich. Weapons and armor that do not have materia slots, excluding the Ziedrich, aren't all that useful because of the lack of magic.

5. From which enemy can you steal a Warrior Bangle?

Answer: Eagle Gun

You can steal an Elixir from an Iron Man, a Carob Nut can be stolen from a Vlakorados and you can't steal anything from the Wolfmeister. Make sure to steal it from the Eagle Gun, as it has the second highest defence of 96 and gives a strength boost of 20!

6. How much HP does Rude have on your second battle with him?

Answer: 9 000

The second time you fight him is at Rocket Town and he yields 9 000 HP. Make sure to steal his Ziedrich, as it is the best piece of armor in the game!

7. Where might you expect to find the monster Heavy Tank?

Answer: Gongaga

Heavy Tanks are those half machine, half green dinosaur guys who are constantly showing up in Gongaga where the reactor blew up. Their attacks include a Wheelie Attack and their signature Big Spiral attack.

8. Cloud's Limit Break "Finishing Touch" will always instantly kill everyone it hits.

Answer: False

Although Cloud's "Finishing Touch" does sometimes instantly kill, it will not instantly kill bosses or monsters immune to instant death. Instead, it will do moderately strong damage to everyone it hits.

9. Where can you buy Cait Sith's Red M-Phone?

Answer: Icicle Inn

The Red M-Phone is a rather decent weapon for Cait Sith, but there are much better ones out there. By then, you should already have the Trumpet Shell, making this M-Phone rather useless.

10. How many materia have spells with status-giving properties (silence, poison, sleep, etc.)?

Answer: Five

These are Seal, Mystify, Transform, Poison and Contain. Seal has Silence and Sleep, Mystify has Confu and Berserk, Transform has Mini and Toad, Poison has Bio, Bio 2 and Bio 3 which can all cause poison and Contain has Break.
