1. Once you rescue the Director, go back to the main building that Team Rocket has taken over with the Card Key. How will the Card Key help you progress?

Answer: It will open a locked sliding door

 There is a large sliding door on the east (right) side on one of the floors. Fight through a few more Rockets, these ones being the toughest yet, until you get to the final Admin, who will pack up his act and performers once you've beaten him.
2. When you finally get to the top (again) and defeat the final Rocket, the Director will come up, after Team Rocket leaves, and give you one of two items. Give the name of one.

Answer: Silver Wing

The Rainbow Wing (which "Gold" players will get) basically grants you access to Ho Oh at the top of Tin Tower. The Silver Wing (Which is given to "Silver" players) will give you a chance to capture Lugia in the Whirl Islands.
3. Between Mahogany Town and Blackthorn City, there's a cave of frigid temperatures and icy floors. What's the name of this cave?

Answer: Ice Path

 In here are a bunch of ice floors with rocks sticking out of them. You'll slip and continue in a direction until you hit something solid, like a rock. Navigate your way though these puzzles and you'll be at Blackthorn city, home of the final badge.
4. What item can be bought for the first time in Blackthorn City?

Answer: Ultra Ball

 Yup, before, you could only buy Great Balls. Now you can actually buy Ultra Balls. You don't need to worry about conserving the few you've just found lying in the field, anymore.
5. What is it you have to do (apart from battle trainers) to reach Clair, Blackthorn City's gym leader?

Answer: Push boulders in holes

 Clair's gym is just a bunch of islands of stone in a lava pool it seems. To cross the magma, go up a level and push the boulders, using Strength, into the holes to create bridges.
6. When you defeat Clair, she will not give her badge. You have to pass another test which involves traveling into a dungeon-like place to retrieve a certain item. What's the name of this dungeon-like place?

Answer: Dragon's Den

 The only thing you need to do in here is Surf around the island using Whirlpool at one point, until you get to the item on the east (right) side. Pick it up and you'll have yourself a badge.
7. Which item does Clair make you retrieve before she'll give you her badge?

Answer: Dragon Fang

 Once you pick this up, Clair will come to you and give you her badge, TM 24 (Dragon Breath), and she'll let you keep the Dragon Fang you found (which raises the attack power of Dragon moves).

Now it's time to head home, which is conveniently located south of Blackthorn City.
8. Now, you have all eight badges and you head down to New Bark Town where Professor Elm will give you something special. What?

Answer: Master Ball

 The Master Ball, like on all other Pokémon games, can capture any Pokémon, including legendary ones, without failing.

Again, like other Pokémon games, there is normally only one easy one to get. There are other ways the get more, but the chances of getting another are very slim.
9. Before the Indigo Plateau there's the classic final cave/dungeon. What is this final stretch called?

Answer: Victory Road

 Victory Road is a giant cave filled with the best trainers. There's no path through the cave, so you'll have to navigate it yourself, but keep in mind that there is no one direct route through the cave either, so make sure you don't end up going around in circles.
10. The first of the Elite Four, Will, uses what type of Pokémon?

Answer: Psychic

 His Pokémon include two Xatu, a Slowbro, a Jinx, and an Exeggutor. All are fairly easy to take out, but you'll still want to heal up before the next battle.
11. Koga's general Pokémon type is weak against what?

Answer: Psychic

 This guy uses poison Pokémon, or Pokémon with poison attacks like Fortress. The only Pokémon that may be any real trouble is his high level Muk.
12. Elite Four # 3 uses mostly Fighting Pokémon. You'll probably want to use this type against them.

Answer: Psychic

 Except for an Onix, all Bruno has is fighting Pokémon. Flying and Psychic work nicely here, but don't try to bring any normal, dark, steel, rock or ice Pokémon into this battle.
13. Karen likes the use Dark and Ghost Pokémon so you will not want to use this type against her.

Answer: Psychic

 Dark Pokémon are good against Psychic and Ghost Pokémon, but not anything else, really. Bug type is strong against Dark, but weak against Ghost. Fighting is also effective against Dark, but does no damage to Ghost. Dark type is effective against Ghost, but not as effective against other Dark Pokémon. Physic is still the worst of this set, being not very effective against Ghost, and unable to hit Dark at all.

The problem with this trainer, though, is that she doesn't just use all dark Pokémon. Come prepared with a variety of Pokémon to beat the final trainer of the Elite Four.
14. Lance, the Champion, is the last of the barrage of difficult trainers. What kind of Pokémon does he like to use?

Answer: Dragon

 Lance has three Dragonites which all have a double weakness to ice, so try to use those attacks. Apart from that, he has an Aerodactyl, a Charizard, and a Gyrados. None of the other three Pokémon are even half dragon, but they're all part flying, and none have an immunity to electricity, so throw a few thunder bolts at them and they'll be down in no time.
15. The S.S. Anne from the "Red/Blue/Yellow games" has been replaced with this new beauty called the ________.

Answer: S.S. Aqua

 Once Lance has been beaten, Professor Elm will give you the ticket for this ship. The S.S. Aqua sails between Olivine City and Vermilion City. The ticket seems to be good for life, because you can go back and forth as many times as you want.
