Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many Missiles does a Missile Expansion add to your total?

Answer: Five

After you locate your Missile Launcher in the Hive Mecha of the Chozo Ruins, you'll be able to start searching Tallon IV for your Missile Expansions. Overall, there are forty-nine Missile Expansions hidden in the game, so you should have a total of 250 Missiles. This can be very beneficial if you want to use the Wavebuster or Flamethrower.
2. How much does a Large Energy replenish?

Answer: 20

There are three different energy replenishing items in the game. The smallest is purple and it restores only ten of your energy. The next, the Large Energy, will restore twenty, and the largest will restore one hundred energy. The largest one, Ultra Energy, is gold. Energy can be found in many places. You can recover some if you search through crates, or you can find some dropped by enemies.

Although they won't entirely refill your health, a trip to a save station (or Samus' ship) will.
3. Where is the Gravity Suit found?

Answer: Phendrana Drifts

The Gravity Suit is the second of three acquired suits found throughout Tallon IV. To get it, you have to go deeper into Phendrana Drifts than the laboratories near Phendrana's Edge. The Gravity Suit can be found in the Gravity Chamber, and it allows Samus to function underwater in the same way that she would above the water.
4. Which is the final visor that you find in the game?

Answer: X-Ray Visor

There are only two visors that can be found in the game since you start with the Scan Visor. The Thermal Visor is first, and it can be found in the Research Core of the Phendrana Drifts labs. It allows you to see enemies in the dark and find hidden switches that can be activated with the Wave Beam.

The X-Ray Visor is found in the Lift Grove of Tallon Overworld. In the same room, you can drop a Power Bomb and find the Artifact of Chozo beyond the walls of the room.
5. Which suit is obtained immediately after you defeat Flaahgra?

Answer: Varia Suit

The Varia Suit can be obtained after defeating the boss in the Sunchamber of the Chozo Ruins. This suit will allow Samus to resist the extreme heat of Magmoor Caverns which can also be accessed after defeating Flaahgra. Other than this, the suit has no other features, but it does improve the look of Samus' suit from a third-person view.
6. The Spider Ball is found in Magmoor Caverns.

Answer: False

You can obtain the Spider Ball by defeating the rock boss, Thardus, in the Quarantine Cave of Phendrana Drifts. During this battle, you'll need to use your newly-acquired Thermal Visor and avoid the boss' ice attacks. After this battle, simply go up to a Spider Ball track and press the R button to use the new technique. You can also use the Boost Ball in Morph Ball mode, but not on Spider Ball tracks.
7. How many Energy Tanks are there in the game?

Answer: Fourteen

In the beginning of the game, Samus will have 99 energy, but with every Energy Tank you get this is increased by 100. These Energy Tanks can be found all over Tallon IV, but they often require certain weapons and upgrades to be obtained. In the labs of Phendrana Drifts, try looking for a container in Research Lab Aether that has an Energy Tank in it. Simply shoot it with a Missile and you'll have your energy.
8. How many times can Samus jump once you've acquired the Space Jump Boots?

Answer: Twice

The Space Jump Boots are the closest accessory to the point where Samus' gunship lands, but you won't actually get it until you've been to Phendrana Drifts to get the Boost Ball. Simply press the B Button to jump, then press it again in the air to start the thrusters on Samus' boots. With good timing and skill, you'll be able to access various places all over Tallon IV.
9. What object is assigned to the L button?

Answer: Grapple Beam

Although the Grapple Beam is used early in the game on the Space Pirate Frigate, it's lost when your suit malfunctions. To begin using it again, you'll need to find a new Grapple Beam on Tallon IV. The Grapple Beam is in Storage Depot B of the Phazon Mines (the Flamethrower is in Storage Room A). When you use the Grapple Beam, it must be used on a Grapple Hook.
10. The Phazon Suit is the final item you'll get in the game. Is it possible to use the Charge Beam with the item's new Phazon Beam?

Answer: No

When you defeat the Omega Pirate in the Elite Quarters of the Phazon Mines, he'll fall onto you and your suit will transform into the Phazon Suit. With this, you'll be able to walk through that pesky Phazon (but not Red Phazon), so you can go and get some missile expansions through the lower mines.

The Phazon Beam will turn back into a regular beam when you're not in Phazon, and you can't use the Charge Beam with it, but it features a very good shot.
