1. How many blocks tall is a Ghast (not including tentacles)?

Answer: Four

They are a total of four blocks tall, four blocks wide and four blocks long, making them the second largest mob in "Minecraft", after the Ender dragon, taking up sixty-four blocks of space in total.

2. What do Ghasts drop when killed?

Answer: Ghast tears and gunpowder

Ghast tears are used to brew potions and so is gunpowder. Gunpowder is also used to make TNT. However, seeing as Ghasts fly, these drops can fall into lava quite easily or in a place that you just can't reach.

3. In what "Minecraft" stage were Ghasts added?

Answer: Alpha

Their original purpose was to spawn near Nether Portals in the Overworld but Notch never got around to it. Their main purpose now is to fly around the Nether, trying to kill and scare you. They were really no use before the official release though.

4. Apart from Slimes and Magma Cubes, what is the only hostile mob that has less health than a Ghast?

Answer: Silverfish

Despite their enormous size, Ghasts only have ten health, half that of a player. Silverfish have even less! They have a mere eight health. If you put Bats or Chickens, reread the question, it says hostile mobs.

5. Ghast fireballs have the same texture as which of these?

Answer: Fire charges

It wasn't until 1.0.0 of the official release that the texture became the fire charges. It was originally snowballs set on fire. Bombs and fireworks don't exist in "Minecraft" but TNT does.

6. What is the name of the achievement that you get by destroying a Ghast with a fireball?

Answer: Return to Sender

This achievement can be received on either the PC or the PS edition. To deflect a Ghast fireball, you need to hit them with a sword when they come near you. You get the achievement for getting the fireball to hit the Ghast.

7. Which of these is NOT a way that Ghasts can spawn in the Overworld?

Answer: Teleportation

Mob spawners can be edited. Anything and any mob can be summoned by the /summon command. Spawn eggs can be found in Creative mode to spawn any mobs. The only mob that can teleport is the Enderman.

8. What colour eyes do Ghasts have?

Answer: Red

They have blood red eyes but you only ever see them when they spit out fireballs. However, if they've shot a fireball at you, you're in trouble.

9. Which of these can Ghasts NOT do?

Answer: Intentionally kill Zombie Pigmen

Weirdly, they can ride minecarts like most other mobs. Some rooms in Nether Fortresses are large enough for Ghasts to spawn. They can light netherrack with their explosions. They will never kill another mob intentionally.

10. How many tentacles do Ghasts have?

Answer: Nine

These tentacles move around when the Ghast flies. This gives them a jellyfish-like appearance.
