Minor Characters of "Final Fantasy IX" Quiz

Pasty Yacha is one of the children in Dali. He used to work on the farms there, but that ended when the adult villagers decided to start producing black mages. When Vivi is kidnapped, Pasty Yacha and the other children act suspicious, indicating that they know what happened to him.

Natalie and Mario live in the slums of Treno. However, they dream of becoming incredibly wealthy and living on a huge waterfront mansion someday. Natalie is a bit paranoid and has to hush Mario, lest he tell others about their plans.

Rupta, though he plays a small role, is a very tragic character. The Industrial District, where he lived, was destroyed. It is not very likely that he survived the attack, and therefore he did not get to fulfill his dream of designing airships.

You meet Part-time Worker Mary and Jobless Jeff when Steiner is smuggling Dagger back into Alexandrian territory. Mary tells you that Jeff has lost his job - here you can choose to console her or not. Regardless of what you choose, Dagger will kick Steiner, but if you choose to console her, you get a bit of extra dialogue.

The harp is encrusted with the Desert Star, Cleyra's piece of the crystal. When the strings snap, the sandstorm surrounding Cleyra disappears, leaving the citizens practically defenseless.

You can find this information early in the game, on your first visit to Lindblum. The bow, armor, and shield were favorite items of previous regents of Lindblum. Kildea is an Oracle from Cleyra, Locke is an old man who lives in Lindblum, and Artania is one of Regent Cid's most trusted advisers.

Answer: Dolf

You can meet Dolf the first time you visit Lindblum, talking to his daughters. Marsha reveals that Dolf is a soldier on the Viltgance. Dolf is nowhere to be found after Lindblum is destroyed. You can talk to Marsha, however, but she cannot find him either.

Answer: Hanna

If you talk to Hanna before the Festival of the Hunt, she apologizes for the lack of items. South Gate was badly damaged, so supplies are coming through slower than usual.

Answer: Tootle

Baku repeatedly calls Dr. Tot the wrong name after Marcus, Dagger, and Steiner make a deal with Tot to get the Supersoft. Of course, after the first time Marcus corrects Baku, he lets out one of his famous sneezes.

Answer: Ovenmeister

You can first see the meisters at the beginning of the game, when you are Steiner and you run around looking for the Knights of Pluto. It is also possible to see Quina cooking in the same kitchen. After the Ovenmeister offers to hammer with his frying pan, Doug tells him not to be an idiot - it would be more helpful if he cooked delicious food for the citizens.

This information can be learned from the Ovenmeister if you go to the kitchen while Dagger's eidolons are being extracted. The Dishmeister tells you that Dagger's favorite is peach pudding, the Eggmeister boasts about his perfect egg, and the Onionmeister is actually useful in that he tells you where the queen's room is.

When the party first reaches Dali, Steiner assists Dutiful Daughter Slai in an effort to gain information about the Alexandrian cargo ships. Later on you can see Slai at the Observatory Mountain with Morrid. On Disk 4, she reveals that Morrid died in an earthquake caused by the Iifa Tree.

Answer: Old Margaret

Old Margaret may have been blinded, but she was fortunate to have survived the attack. Many people died during the invasion. Lindblum's destruction was one of the most tragic parts of the game.

Gatz is a character in Esto Gaza. He becomes extremely jealous when Zidane shows up and starts flirting with Lisa, Gatz's girlfriend. However, Lisa seems to enjoy all the attention she gets from Zidane, telling him that they could talk later.

Answer: Kelley Fingerwaver

Obviously, Vivi is not a big berry-trader. Kelley Fingerwaver was referring to another black mage, one of the "Pyntie-Hets" from Black Mage Village. Derek Stonehammer asked if Vivi "frizzled" it with some of his "mejick". The other two dwarves, while actual characters, do not interact with Vivi.
