Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the beginning of Chapter 5, you see an X-Naut hiding in the shadows of Rogueport muttering that their spy has infiltrated the S.S. Flavion. What is this spy's code name?

Answer: X-Naut Black

There is one very odd looking member of your crew, known as Four-Eyes. Four-Eyes suspiciously resembles Lord Crump, and turns out to be him, but according to the X-Naut, his code name is X-Naut Black, and Four-Eyes is just a nickname dubbed to him by the Flavion's crew.
2. Who goes missing along with Bobbery when the Flavion sinks?

Answer: Four-Eyes and a Toad

Bobbery, along with Four-Eyes and a random toad, get lost in the confusion following the Flavion's attack, and are not to be found. After Flavio and crew set up a meager, little area to live in, Flavio sends Mario to find Bobbery and the others who went missing. Mario finds Bobbery, Four-Eyes, and the toad trapped by some Embers, and Bobbery sacrifices himself to save the others.
3. Flavio is the editor of what food magazine?

Answer: Foppish Gourmet Weekly

Bobbery want some Chuckolacola as a last wish before he dies. Flavio, however, won't let Mario have any, unless he can replace the Chuckolacola with another food item. Flavio instructs Mario to get something good, because he was the editor of Foppish Gourmet Weekly, which is apparently a major magazine dedicated to fine dining.
4. What play was Luigi in?

Answer: The Mystery of the Fiery Hat of Social Awareness

Although the game never hints as to what 'The Mystery of the Fiery Hat of Social Awareness' could be about, it certainly sounds interesting. Luigi played "grass" by the side of the road. Hayzee, a Crazee Dayzee, assisted him in getting his role in order to get the Dramalama Plaque, which may have the next Marvelous Compass piece on it. Even though Luigi had a pretty unimportant part, he still gained tons of fans and won the Plaque.
5. Who is known as "The Penguin with the Improbably Large Brain"?

Answer: Pennington

Pennington, one of the most important characters of chapter 6, is a detective in his free time. He is heading home after his vacation to re-open the Poshley Sanctum, a shrine dedicated to the Garnet Star.
6. Who resides in Room 4?

Answer: Ghost T.

Ghost T. was a toad who died in Room 4, and has haunted that room ever since. He is worried, however, that his diary would be found and read. This paranoia keeps him from entering the after-life.
7. What is the name of Ratooey's product?

Answer: Nitro Honey Syrup

This amazing new product has the ability to raise the dead, or explode into a sticky but yummy mess. Ratooey was heading to Poshley Heights to get a deal finalized with this product, but it was stolen and could be used to immobilize the train, allowing the Shadow Sirens to get the Garnet Star.
8. Which early and weak enemy is found inside Riverside Station?

Answer: Goomba

Riverside Station is one of the tougher areas of the game. Most of its enemies are immune to most attacks, or can inflict status ailments. It is also long and maze-like. However, there are a number of Goombas located in an important room of the station. This room opens up to the Ultra Boots.
9. What is the Garnet Star in?

Answer: A painting

The Garnet Star is ingeniously hidden inside a painting, and is only accessible from a pipe. This painting leads to another, darker Poshley Sanctum, filled with Dark Boos. Pennington was sure to keep a fake Crystal Star outside the painting for anyone wanting to steal it.
10. What did the Marvelous Compass do to the Luffs?

Answer: Curse them

The Luff people used the Marvelous Compass to see into the future, and using that power, they ruled the world. However, the Luff empire became greedy, and the Marvelous Compass cursed them and the empire collapsed. Cranberry, the last of the Luff people, broke the Compass into seven different parts to keep anyone from abusing its power. Cranberry then guarded the last piece inside the Rapturous Ruins. Once the Compass was completely put together, Cranberry and the Ruins disappeared, finalizing the curse.
