This level, where Rayman gains his memorable flying power (and in which, as usual, he loses it), contains just one worm at the beginning. This worm is actually quite hard to hit (for me, at least, and for about seven other people I know), and if it touches you too many times, you could recover your health from the red lumz in the corner.

Although it is a little hard to tell at first, due to the white background, the rotators are indeed black. Not only does it blow Rayman, it gives out yellow sparks, the kind that erupt from golden fists. This kind of yellow spark also appears at the end of the Fairy Glade, where a huge overhead fan makes currents for Rayman to helicopter through. Also they are there later in the Iron Mountains, where there are water currents (from an unknown source).

Answer: The 1000th lum

(P.S. I made up the emblem and the prophecy, although there's a chance the `Emblem of Death` might exist. Mail me if it does.) The 1000th lum, which Razorbead eats near the beginning of the game, can be found here. After hitting the three switches that activating the platforms, jump through them and climb up the web. You will see a tomb where you can jump through to the next part of the level.

But don't. Walk to the left, on the edge of the platform, until you are stopped by a fence. Now, jump, helicopter and hold left. You see that part where the wall changes colour? Hold up so that you are in the `corner` of the two walls.

But it turns out not to be a corner! The nearer wall juts out, hiding the secret passageway. After that, you have six pirates and a bunch of spiders to kill before getting the final lum. Phew! (To get back, just simply fall onto the slide behind the huge skull)

Indeed, two pirates attack you, but the first one fires kegs at you, which you dodge with the two platforms available. It is only the second pirate that arrives that you have to kill. A good way of defeating this second pirate is by hiding behind the dead tree in the centre of the room. This way, the pirate takes his/her/its time getting to you, and you can shoot at him/her/it.

Answer: The platform rotates

Well, there aren't even any statues, so there's no chance of them rotating. Looking at the room from a (stationary) pipe, you can tell that the platform rotates, and that everything else is still. However, when you get on the platform, you rotate with the platform, and it appears that everything else turns.

The goal in this room is to dodge the red laser whilst hitting both switches and holding the right button. Then the electric panel in the middle disappears, allowing you to fall through the hole, but you have to dodge the red laser to get in. Easier said than done. Yes, really.

Answer: Four yellow lumz

The pirate is never destroyed. At the moment, the yellow lumz are unobtainable. Instead, jump on the box, and when the giant pirate lands on the ground, the box jumps up. Use the momentum to jump on to the platform, arriving in an area with a gorilla and a similar box. Once you clear that, you will slide into a walking shell, and begin a confusing ride that defies gravity.

When you manage to find the yard with the huge gate, run over the switches to save the baby Globoxes and open the gate, and ride through the field where the giant pirate and four pillars are lounging. Now that you have a walking shell, use the Space Bar for a speed boost, and let the pirate chase you. Ride straight at a pillar, and dodge it at the last moment.

The pirate will step on it, destroying it, giving you access to the yellow lum. Repeat this on the other three pillars.

After this you have to go away from the building and the pirate, where a rickety old bridge gives you acces to the mines. You have to jump over the gaps in the bridge, although the second one is done automatically.

This time, it's easier done than said.

There aren't even any cages here to break. When you finish the first section, you will hear Uglette, Globox's wife, crying her eyes out and making comical sounds. She explains to you that her babies, all 630 of them, were taken by the pirates and stuck in the mines. You use the pirate ship at hand to find these babies and deliver them back to Uglette. One of them says he has a gift for Rayman that he found in the mines, and it happens to be the fourth mask. Rayman is VERY grateful, although no doubt forgets to send a thank-you note.

By flying out of the chamber, you can see a line of red lumz leading into a hole. Flying through that hole, you enter a fun and incredibly hard passageway containing nothing but red lumz. I certainly wouldn't recommend it if you were having difficulty with the level, but otherwise it's good practice for the final boss.

Razorbeard shouts "Your lava bath is ready!" later on in the fight, when he makes the lava level rise. "I'm not afraid of you!" and "Come back here and FIGHT!" are what Razorbeard yells if you turn into a chamber to collect a missile. "Aahh... I'm slipping!" and "Never do that again!" are things that Razorbeard screams when you hit him with the missile(s). Finally, when he fires his own missiles, he says "Try and dodge THIS!"

As Razorbeard managed to escape the exploding ship, he is shown in the credits with his little flying cruiser, obviously seething inside and thinking up malicious plans against Rayman. The music also goes into a minor key in the credits, showing that the future is dark, and that there will be more dangers...

In the end, though, be happy that you completed the game.
