Answer: In the mainstream games, Giratina-O's signature move bypasses Protect

Shadow Force-- Giratina's signature move-- is a two move attack in "Pok�mon". Giratina would vanish from the battlefield on the first turn, and reappear and strike the enemy on the second. Users of any Protect-variant move would see their moves fail, so the only ways to avoid direct damage would be to either switch into a Normal type Pok�mon, use a charge move involving your Pok�mon disappearing, or using the move Substitute.

This is reflected in Giratina's spirit in this game.

Answer: Increased damage with PSI Attacks

Unfortunately, this trait only holds specific uses, as it only benefits a very small portion of the cast. Fortunately, Tabuu makes up for this by having three support spirit slots. Unfortunately, his poor stats and Neutral typing still render him virtually useless if you aren't using a PSI attack user. Even if you are, the Ninten and Paula spirits are probably still better for you: offering the same bonus to PSI attacks while having better typings and stats. Even the M. Bison spirit, which has similar stats and the same support spirit slots, would probably be better as a Grab type spirit.

Answer: Zygarde-Complete

Zygarde-Complete's pre-enhanced form is Zygarde-50%. Upon being enhanced, it gains a unique trait of Critical health healing. Unfortunately, it is a Grab type, when the Shield type would definitely benefit more from its stats and trait. Aside from this malady, Zygarde-C is a fine spirit to have and to use, giving the player the upper hand against Shield type spirits.

Answer: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres

The OG Trio themselves, the Legendary Birds of Kanto gets the honorary distinction of also being Legendary spirits. The Entei, Raikou, and Suicune spirit is still important however; their core is needed in order to summon the legendary Ho-Oh spirit, and they can still be useful as a spirit for a player lacking in a Grab-type Legendary spirit.

Answer: Cutie J and Rodin the Infinite One

Cutie J and Rodin the Infinite One are both enhanced spirits. The former is the enhanced version of Jeanne, with the latter being the enhanced version of Rodin. Father Balder is the enhanced version of Balder, but he is only an Ace ranked spirit. Ceraza is merely a Novice rank, as is Affinity, with Gomorrah being an Advanced rank spirit.

6. The Pauline spirit is particularly challenging to get, but certainly yields a worthwhile reward as a Legendary support spirit. What is this reward?

Answer: Heal yourself upon shielding an attack

Pauline is a legendary spirit, granting an amazing benefit of healing players who normal-shield attacks. There are numerous spirits which grants this bonus if the player perfect shields, but with perfect shielding being a lot harder in this game, Pauline provides the player with that extra cushion.

7. Upon the game's release, how many support spirits were given the "boost the damage done by all special moves" trait?

Answer: Four

Unsurprisingly, all the spirits that do this are Legendary. They are the Shine Sprite, Wind Fish, Mew and Manaphy.

Answer: M. Bison

Akuma is found in the Distant Land dungeon in the Dark Realm, while Guile can be found on the Final Battle map. M. Bison is a Grab type spirit with three support spirit slots and a trait which buffs the damage done by PSI attacks.

The critical hit chance is set to a gnarly 12%. Lyn-Blade Lord yields this trait. It is fitting that it be given to an Attack type spirit!
