Answer: Grover Cleveland

Grover Cleveland is the only president to serve 2 terms non-consecutively. His first term was from 1885 to 1889, and then his second term after Benjamin Harrison was from 1893 to 1897. James Garfield was the 20th and Chester Arthur was the 21st.
2. Who was the only U.S. president to also administer the oath of office?

Answer: William Howard Taft

In 1921, President Warren G. Harding appointed William H. Taft Chief Justice of the United States. Taft administered the oath of office to Calvin Coolidge in 1925 and Herbert Hoover in 1929.
3. Who was the U.S. president during the War of 1812?

Answer: James Madison

James Madison was the 4th president of the United States and served from 1809-1817.

Answer: Lyndon Johnson

In 1961, Sarah T. Hughes was appointed United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas by President John F. Kennedy; she was the first woman to serve as a federal judge in Texas. After the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, she was called upon to administer the oath of office to Lyndon B. Johnson.

The oath took place on Air Force One; the event was private but both photographed and audio recorded.

While only 4 presidents have been killed, there have been many assassination attempts and threats. On January 30, 1835, a house painter named Richard Lawrence aimed two pistols at President Andrew Jackson at the capitol building. One of them was while Lawrence stood within 13 feet of Jackson, the other at point-blank range, but both misfired. Jackson beat him down with a cane and Lawrence was apprehended and found not guilty by reason of insanity and confined to a mental institution.
7. What U.S. president was famous for his involvement with a volunteer cavalry group known as the "Rough Riders"?

After the Civil War, the United States army was severely weakened and President William McKinley called upon volunteers to assist in war efforts for the Spanish-American War. It was the 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry and was also known as "Roosevelt's Rough Riders".

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States and was born in Kentucky. Andrew Johnson was born in North Carolina, James Monroe was born in Virginia, and James Buchanan was born in Pennsylvania.
10. What U.S. president signed the law adding the phrase "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance?

Answer: Dwight D. Eisenhower

In 1953, the Knights of Columbus, a Roman Catholic men's group, mounted a campaign to add the words "under God" to the Pledge. President Dwight Eisenhower attended one of the sermons on February of 1954 along with the national press corps. Eisenhower agreed with the sermon and the bill was sponsored 3 days later.

It was signed into law on Flag Day, June 14, 1954. Communism was said to have played a key role in the change, as most communist countries are atheists and they wanted to differentiate from that.
