How many 'signs of ageing' apply to you?

(Non Brits may need one or two explaining to them) :)

Recently I had a CT Scan........after which I was told that they didn't want to see me again for 5 years.
I found that VERY encouraging, not just for the result, but to know they consider I am likely to still be alive and kicking in 5 years (I am currently 74).

Everyone is getting older every day - unless of course they're dead.

But why should hating a noisy pub be a sign of getting older? What if you've always hated them? They stink of stale cigarettes, staler beer, and headache inducing toilet deodorisers, ugh

Three years on, I read the list again. I blanched when I got to 24. Nothing would induce me to listen to Chris Evans!

I must be getting old. Yesterday I bought some clothes and I was given a senior discount without being asked if I was a senior. And I'm not! But I accepted the discount anyway. No sense cutting off my nose to spite my face (LOL).

I thought I was getting old until I looked up the ages of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. To me they look older than they are. However they are to be congratulated if they don't use plastic surgery. We don't get enough sun here to produce such impressive wrinkles in our 60s. Maybe that's a good thing.

'fraid so! Couldn't find anything referring to ageing in Daily Mail link directed to!
No hints on rejuvenation found sadly.
Still haven't worked out how to use mobile phone or text - help needed in this complex matter.
Cataracts will need doing "soon" (went to specsavers!)
On the upside:
Us wrinklies are wise - we have learned a lot during our long lives (and forgotten a lot).
Am wittering on because I am trying to remember my name.
Cambridge6 probably.

You know you're getting old when the youngster at the checkout laughingly, but politely, declines your offer of ID when paying for your bottle of spirits...

Maybe the silver grey hair and beard is a giveaway (and I'm only 57!) Hahaha

Cambridge6............One sure sign, is when you are talking about an event you witnessed, over 50 years ago, that you remember well........then come to a halt as you can't remember why you have just walked into kitchen!

Btw........I lived Cambridge 1972-1994.

I'm 55 this year - but can still run a 7 minute mile or possibly faster if I really want to injure myself . I still cycle , walk 10 miles on a good day and comfortably can run if I warm up properly ( hadn't used to bother warming up )at least 5 or 6 miles .
A six minute mile might be a bit ambitious nowadays as I don't train any where near as much as I used to ..... and forget sub 6 now - a distant memory .
Keep active and you don't feel as old .

I'm not GETTING old, I AM old! I'm 71 years, close to 72 years old, but I often feel MUCH younger. But I know I've been around for quite awhile because of one thing. You've heard of Joan of Arc? I DATED her! She was HOT stuff. She turned out to be a bit TOO hot, however........

I'm not remotely close to old, and I do a lot of those and have done some of them for years.

Hairy Bear............Now THAT is a good idea..........quite happy to revert to an age where I could still enjoy all the things I had to give up as I aged, for one reason or another.

I suddenly felt old when my brother died this year age 71. He was nearly 8 years older than me but that's not so far off.

I feel I am getting old in some ways but I'm not out of touch with technology. I can use a mobile phone, text, and even fix computer problems on my PC. I haven't needed outside help with that for more than 15 years. I keep up with what's going on in the world via the news. I'm just aware that physically I'm not as strong, fit or vigorous as I was when younger and I have acquired some chronic illnesses (though not life threatening).

My brother and I were the only ones among my family who were interested in talking about computers, plumbing, work and house renovations. We could talk for ages on those subjects without getting bored. I learned so much from him.

I think a sign of feeling old is when the media starts talking about potential future problems and you start thinking I probably won't be around when that happens.
