Andre The Giant
1993. Andre was the first superstar to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Andre sadly passed away on January 27, 1993, due to congestive heart failure. He is a WWE legend who will never be forgotten.
Demolition. Andre & Haku were known as the Colossal Connection and they were managed by Bobby Heenan. They held the titles until "Wrestlemania VI" in April 1990, when Demolition won the titles back.
He eliminated himself.. Andre fled the ring in terror, eliminating himself in the process when Jake "The Snake" Roberts threw his pet snake, Damien, into the ring.
"Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase. Andre defeated Hogan at "The Main Event" in February 1988, and immediately sold the title to Dibiase. However, WWE President Jack Tunney said the deal was invalid and declared the title vacant.
Bobby Heenan. Heenan became Andre's manager in the months leading up to "Wrestlemania III". Heenan and Andre finally split up after an in-ring bust up at "Wrestlemania VI".
Bam Bam Bigelow. Andre was the sole survivor of the match. He teamed up with King Kong Bundy, One Man Gang, Butch Reed & "Ravishing" Rick Rude to take on Hulk Hogan, Bam Bam Bigelow, Don Muraco, Paul Orndorff & Ken Patera. Andre pinned Bigelow last to win the match.
Hulk Hogan. Hulk Hogan defeated Andre The Giant in the main event. The match was watched by a huge crowd of 93,173 fans that jam packed into the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan.
Bret Hart. The Battle Royal included both WWE superstars and NFL players. The final three men left in the ring were Andre and The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart). Andre quickly eliminated both men to win it.
$15,000 Body Slam Challenge. Andre had to body slam Studd to win $15,000, but if he couldn't do it then he would have to retire. Andre won the match when he body slammed Studd but when he was giving some of his winnings to the fans, Studd's manager, Bobby Heenan grabbed the bag with the money in it and ran back to the locker room.
1973. Andre defeated Buddy Wolfe on his WWE debut, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
