Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information
A donation to a charity. He made a donation in Geech's name to the "Keep the Whales out of El Salvador" foundation, because he didn't know what to give Geech. "Underwear's always nice." Geech said.
a fruitcake. Unfortunately, it's the same fruitcake! Artie sends it to his brother-in-law, and he sends it back to Artie!
Foxy Lady. "Boy, you sure believe in putting freedom of speech to the test, don't you?" the clerk asked her.
Weldon. During "Magnum Chainsaw", there was a very scary part. Ruby screamed and jumped almost into Weldon's lap. "Aren't you scared?" she asked. "Yeah," Weldon answered. "But I'll be all right as soon as you get back on the other side of the truck!"
|Ruby once went to "Comp-U-Date" to find her "Perfect Mate". Who did the computer match her with?||The Characters of Geech
Geech. "This does not compute!" she cried as she slammed the door in poor Geech's face.
sitting in the bar hoping to get picked up. They never seem to have any luck. A man did buy Ruby a drink once, but obviously he couldn't see too well in the dim lighting. If Nadine asks you to dance, do it or she'll do a spinning body slam on you!
The Royal Order Of Mystic Ducks. They wear a fez type hat with a duck bill in front. At the meetings, they drink beer and throw the bottles. Then they duck!
The letters "M.S.". He had the letters "M.S." monogrammed for "My Shirt". (I told you he wasn't very bright)!
Vera. Vera is a mousy little woman, who is always trying to get Artie to fix something around the house or go on a diet. She and Artie met on a blind date and have been married 10 years.
J.C. Meeks. Reverend Meeks is always trying to get Rabbit to donate to the church, but he's wasting his breath. Unfortunately for the good Reverend, Merle & Geech seem to sleep through his sermons. (When they bother to show up at church, that is!)
Weldon Ledbetter. Weldon's dream is to appear on the "Grand Ole Opry", but I doubt he'll ever make it with songs like, "She gets better looking with every drink and I've had quite a few. In fact I drank her to an '8' when she started out a '2'. So bartender, if you'd be so kind, bring us another round. Then tell me should I fall in love or should I just fall down?".
Homer Purvis. Homer always falls asleep, even when he's cutting someone's hair! He slept through his 50th wedding anniversary, and the local police are always nailing him for sleeping behind the wheel!
Rabbit T. Fester. Rabbit is the grumpiest person in Grimace. He was married once for a week, but his wife divorced him because she understood him. He lies, cheats, steals, curses, spits, chews and smokes, but he doesn't consider these vices-he thinks of them as personality traits! He serves a house wine at his place-Chateau de Lubbock! Rabbit finally hired another bartender-Raymond Flowers. Ray is always trying to get Rabbit to improve the joint-but his words fall on deaf ears.
Artie Beemer. Artie was transferred from the east by the petroleum company. He's always trying to "relate" to people, but he rarely succeeds. He tried to play country & western music with Weldon, but somehow classic piccolo & country guitar just didn't mix. "Like Merle Nelson & Willie Haggard!" says Artie. "More like barbequed quiche!" says Weldon.
Nadine Puckett. Nadine has a passion for food and an aversion to exercise. She's still looking (desperately) for Mr. Right. About twice a year, she sends out wedding invitations, but, so far, no one's ever accepted one. She's also a die-hard Elvis fan, and once claimed to be possessed by Elvis' spirit!
Ruby Moon. The diner is not the best place to eat. Ruby has even offered an apology for the liver and spinach casserole. But you'd better leave her a decent tip!
6 7/8. Every time a baby was born, Geech's father would write down names and put them into a hat. Geech's mother would pick one out, and that became the baby's name. Can you imagine going through life named after a hat size?
Merle Sisson. Merle owns Merle's Service Station. He's tried to teach Geech how to repair cars, but, face it, Geech will never learn. How can he teach someone who thinks spark plugs keep the sparks from leaking out of the engine?
Dingum. Geech is the loveable star of the strip. Unfortunately, he's not too bright. He once asked, "If you're driving faster than the speed of sound, would you still be able to listen to the radio?"
Grimace, Texas. I wonder exactly where Grimace is? Maybe near "Grimy Gulch" where the characters of "Tumbleweeds" live?
