Poke Money. The Poke Money has the same values as dollars: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500. The symbol for Poke Money is a letter P with two horizonal lines on its stem. Both games have the same colour of money.
Seafoam Islands. Articuno, the icebird Pokemon, represents Seafoam Islands. It is in the same location as Water Works, and the same price.
Fire. Growlithe, Ponyta, and Rapidash replace Pacific Avenue, North Carolina Avenue, and Pennsylvania Avenue. They are the same price: $300 for each of the first two properties, and $320 for the third. The green properties are trainer Blaine's Gym.
Marvin Gardens. In 1995 Parker Brothers apologized to the residents of Marven Gardens for the misspelling. It was never changed on the board though.
Thanks for playing!
50 Billion Dollars. If only it were real! Each valued bill has a different color. The 500 is dark orange, the 100 is light tan, the 50 is blue, the 20 is green, the 10 is yellow, the 5 is pink and the 1 is white. There are 20 500's and 100's, 30 50's, 50 20's, and 40 10's, 5's and 1's.
World War II. The United States Army needed the extra metals to make bullets and guns to fight in the war. Did you know that escape maps, compasses, and files, were inserted into Monopoly game boards and smuggled into P.O.W camps inside Germany during World War II. Real money for escapees was slipped into the packs of Monopoly money. So Monopoly played a huge role in World War II.
$180. Baltic Avenue is the second lowest valued property on the board. It is good because it collects people's GO money.
1935. It came out in 1935 and remained unchanged until 1984 when the only thing that changed was the man in the middle. They never used to have him there but now he is. They also changed the slogan. It is not straight across anymore, it's on a slant. The coloring on the board also got better as time went on.
