Sam . In the initial chapters of the story, Sam is sitting in the local pub with the locals telling them a story about one of his friends who had seen a tree walking over one of the fields. Also, when Pippin and Merry describe the Shire to Treebeard, he comments that the Entwives would have liked that area.
5. There were actually 5, but 2 passed into the east. This was stated in "Unfinished Tales" under the chapter entitled "The Istari". The three we know are Gandalf, Saruman, and Radagast, whereas the other two that passed into the east were calld Pallando and Alatar.

Grond. Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld. The only time Morgoth is noted as using it in battle was when he used it to slay Fingolfin in single combat.
Gurthang. This is the sword he cast himself on to end his life. Originally the sword was forged by Eöl out of the metal of a meteorite, and was called Anglachel. When Eöl gave the sword up to Thingol in Doriath, Beleg Strongbow bore it.
Gandalf. In the final chapter of "The Return of the King" it says that Gandalf openly wore the red elven ring Narya when the Ring-bearers left the Havens for Aman.
Elwing. Elwing was the daughter of Dior the Fair. She escaped with the Silmaril that Beren wrested from Morgoth when the sons of Fëanor came to claim it. She later married Eärendil and had two sons, Elros and Elrond.
