Rock singer. Michael Pare and Diane Lane played Tom Cody and Ellen Aim. Rick Moranis played Ellen's sleazy manager, Billy Fish, who tags along for the rescue. It's been awhile since I've seen this (probably 1986-87) but the scene in the stairwell with Michael Pare where his hairstyle keeps changing between shots is what really sticks in my mind. Still, this movie is worth seeing just for all the names in it. Bette Midler. Nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Actress, Bette lost the Oscar to Sally Field for "Norma Rae". She did, however, win the Golden Globe.
