I Won't See You Tonight Part 2. This song supposedly contains parts of a suicide letter from a friend of the band.
Turn The Other Way. While performing this song live at the 'Warped tour', Shadows hit Zacky in the back of the head with his microphone, giving Zacky a red waterfall effect down his face and back of his neck. He later needed stiches.

The Art Of Subconcious Illusion. M. Shadows' girlfriend and the bands' tour manager Val provides extra growls for this track.

Trashed And Scattered. "Trashed And Scattered" says this line right after the line, "And don't try to stop me,it's a place you'll never know."
The pain of being a man. "Bat Counrty" starts out with a voice saying, "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man", which also appears later in the song in different wording.
M.I.A.. "Avenged Sevenfold" wrote this song because of all the war that's gone on in America. The letters "M.I.A" mean "missing in action".
Beast and the Harlot. The ending of the song "Binded in Chains" ends with "Just live your life blind like me". "The Wicked End" ends with "In this world of Misery". "Betrayed" ends with "Why aren't you listening?"

Synyster Gates. Brian Haner (Sr.) is credited for several tracks on the album and he's accordingly been nicknamed Papa Gates. Sisters Valary and Michelle DiBenedetto, Matt and Synyster's girlfriends, have also lent their vocals to the albums and helped manage the band.
Zacky Vengeance. Zacky Vengeance launched a clothing line in 2005 called Vengeance University. Synyster Gates also has a clothing line in the works.

Matt Shadows and Zacky Vengeance. Matt Shadows (Sanders) and Zacky Vengeance (Baker) joined with The Rev (James Owen Sullivan) and Matt Wendt to form the band while they were still in high school in 1999.
Sounding the Seventh Trumpet. "City of Evil" is their first major label release, on Warner Bros. Records. The band will head into the studio to work on the follow up in late 2006.

The Rev. The Rev is also the lead singer for the band Pinkly Smooth, which bandmate Synyster Gates is also a member of. The Rev also sang lead vocals on the song "Lips of Deceit" from the album "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet".
White. Synyster Gates came up with his nickname when he was 17 years old. The story goes that he and The Rev were out drunk one night when Synyster shouted out "I am Synyster Gates and I am awesome".

Victoria Shadows. The girlfriend used in the video for "Seize the Day" is the actual long term girlfriend of lead singer M Shadows. Her name is Valerie DiBenedetto.
Johnny Christ. Even though Avenged Sevenfold formed in 1999 it was in 2006 that they picked up "Best New Artist" at the MTV Video Music Awards.
M Shadows. All the members of Avenged Sevenfold attended Catholic School, which they were subsiquently kicked out of. If you look at their lyrics you can see some of the Catholic upbringing in there.
