Classic Rock
The Chambers Brothers. The band did consist of 4 brothers (Lester, Willie, Joe and George). Sang gospel until they went into folk and eventually the first black psychedelic hippie stoner band, when they released 'Time Has Come Today' in Sept. of 1966.
The Electric Prunes. Originally from Seattle, this song debut in 1966.
Kenny Rogers and The First Edition. This was Kenny Rogers psychedelic period.
Eric Burdon and The Animals. This band had so many good songs during this era, we just couldn't resist using it again.
Cream. Although this song title was performed by numerous artists, it was not done by Cream.
Steppenwolf. A blazing rock athem in the summer of 1968, also the theme song to the movie 'Easy Rider'.
The Doors. Off their debut album 'The Doors' in 1967.
Canned Heat. Recorded in 1968, a smash Top 40 hit, from the album 'Living the Blues'.
Jimi Hendrix. Recorded on his first album, it also produced a lot of hits, which is still in print even after 30+ years. We consider it to be one of his best!
Iron Butterfly. Recorded in 1969 on the 'Ball' album, which eventually went to the status of gold.
Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin formed from the remnants of the Yardbirds. This song was written during their first US tour. Recorded on Led Zeppelin 2, the second album they released in 1969. It is considered by some to be one of the greatest albums in rock and roll history.
Eric Burdon and The Animals. From the album 'Winds of Change' which marked a new psychedilic style for Eric Burdon and The Animals.
Mothers of Invention. Off the Freak Out album, their first album, it was recorded in 1966.
Yardbirds. This can be considered one of the first Acid Rock songs. It was the first single with Jeff Beck, his influence in 60's rock guitar compared to no one else with the exception of Jimi Hendrix.
