Mike Hawthorn. Hawthorn won the title in 1958 driving for Ferrari. He won by a single point over fellow UK driver Stirling Moss.
Denny Hulme. Hulme won the title in 1967 finishing 5 points ahead of teammate Jack Brabham.
1. Despite winning 31 F1 races, Mansell had only 1 championship (1992). He was the first UK driver to win a championship since James Hunt in 1976. Mansell would go on to win the US CART series championship in 1993, his first year in that series.
