1967. The NHL doubled in size from 6 teams to 12 teams. All the expansion teams were in the same division until the next expansion in 1970, when the Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres were added. The St. Louis Blues were the Stanley Cup Finalists from this division all three years (1967,68,69), but failed to win a game in any of the series.

1971-1972 Season. This is hard to believe, but in the 1970-1971 season Dryden's first in the League,he only played six regular season games and then all the play-offs. Thus by league rules he still qualified as a rookie in the 1971-1972 season.

Reg Leach. Actually Leach is the only player to accomplish this in the 20th Century, doing so as a member of the 1976 Philadelphia Flyers. That playoff year Leach scored 19 goals and it was the most ever in the 20th Century. It was later tied by Jari Kuuri in 1985.
Bobby Orr. Bobby Orr did it in 1970-1971 with Boston recording 102 assists.

199 Points. In 1988-1989 Mario Lemieux recorded 85 goals and 114 assists for 199 points in 76 games. 168 and 160 were his next two best years. 152 points was Phil Espositos record before Gretzky broke it.

Ray Bourque. Out of a elite crop of rookies, Boston Bruins Ray Bourque was the winner. Hawerchuk won in 1982 and Bossy in 1978. Messier was a rookie in 1979-1980.

The skate cut the defenceman's right eye into his nose and down the side of his face. It took 3 hours to stitch up his face, the stitches went past one eye, across his nose, back under the eye, down his cheek, and ended at the corner of his mouth. Salming wore a visor after the injury.

Bernie Nicholls & Sergei Federov. Bernie did on November 13th 1984, when the Los Angeles Kings beat the Quebec Nordiques 5-4, while Federov did it on December 26, 1996, when the Red Wings beat the Washington Capitals by the same score.
t. This was back on January 13, 1934. Back then there was no sudden death, but it was a 10 minute overtime period, which Doraty 3 goals gave the Leafs a 7-4 victory over Ottawa.
f. It did happen, but a year earlier in 1988-89. Mario Lemieux led the scoring race with 199 points. Wayne Gretzky had 168 points, Steve Yzerman had 155 points, followed by Bernie Nicholls with 150.
27. Peeters went 22-0-5 on a Flyers team, that went 35 straight games without a loss. In 1982-83, Peeters would go 31 straight games without a loss going 26-0-5.
New York Rangers. It wasn't a shorthanded situation, but the streak ended when John McLean scored a penalty shot against Tampa Bay, while teammate Brent Fedyk was in the penalty box. The Rangers won the game 5-2.
