Steve. Steve is Stan's ginger-haired son. Toshi, Snot and Barry are Steve's friends.

Snot. The actor Curtis Armstrong played Booger in "Revenge of the Nerds". His role in "American Dad" as Snot is clearly an homage to his previous role. Bart is a character on "The Simpsons". Toshi and Barry are Steve's other friends.

Haley. Haley Smith is Stan's hippie daughter who doesn't agree with Stan's conservative values. Francine is Stan's Wife. Betsy is Chuck White's daughter. Terry is Stan's neighbor.
Greg. Greg is the member of the Log Cabin Republicans while Terry is a Democrat. Chuck is one of Stan's neighbors. Avery Bullock is Stan's boss.
Avery Bullock. Avery Bullock is played by Patrick Stuart and has a thick British Accent. Father Donovan is the beer drinking pastor. Doctor Gupta is an Indian doctor who constantly explains she is a female doctor. Bob Memari is another neighbor of Stans.
Klaus. Klaus is the talking fish. Hercules is the Greek butcher, Duper is Stan's co-worker, and Sergei is Stan's neighbor.
Roger. Roger the alien loves to wear wigs, eat chocodiles and make hilarious movie references. Steve is Stan's son and Reginald is a talking koala.
Jeff. Jeff Fisher is Haley's boyfriend and he lives in a van. Buckle is the mountain man who wanted to marry Haley. Avery Bullock is Stan's boss. Greg is Stan's neighbor.
Captain Monty. Captain Monty is the only captain on "American Dad". The other captains are all famous captains from literature.
Beauregard. Beauregard is the the eccentric hair stylist. Baba is Francine's father. Gwen is Francine's sister. Donny is a bully at Steve's school.
American flag pin. Stan's persona is that he is a true patriot. He works for the CIA and always supports the Republican party. The flag is always on his suit.
Snot, Barry, and Toshi. Snot is the skinny one who always wears the denim jacket. Barry is the oversized simpleton. Toshi is the boy from Japan who seems as though he shouldn't be hanging out with that group.
Gwen. Francine was adopted by a Chinese couple. In one episode they visited the Smiths. At first Stan thought they didn't like him but in the end of the episode he learned otherwise. Francine found out that her parents left her sister everything in their will. When Stan questioned this, Francine's father stated that it was because Francine was so lucky to have a great husband and Gwen needed it because she was an idiot.
Because Hayley is so liberal. Hayley is a complete liberal and Stan is a complete conservative. Hayley is a women's liberate, is sexually liberal, and takes drugs among other things. They just do not see eye to eye.
His wigs. Roger is completely in love with wigs. In one episode Stan and Roger enrolled in a skating contest and the first prize was a bunch of wigs. Roger became totally obsessed with winning them.
An East German olympic downhill skier. In one episode Stan explained how the CIA transferred the mind of Klaus into the fish. They showed a German skier taking the jump then landing in the snow and flapping like a fish out of water.
They wear briefs instead of boxer shorts. In just a recent episode Steve and company go to summer camp. They are branded nerds right on the spot. Steve finds out that the only difference was that the cool kids were all wearing boxers.
Newscasters. Greg and Terry are co-anchors on the news station. They are very dedicated to each other and also flamboyant in their news stories. They are well liked in the community but it took Stan a while to accept them.
Wheels and the Legman. In the spirit of those 1970s crime shows, Steve and Roger made up a duo called Wheels and the Legman. They are always fighting over who gets to be wheels.
Krispy Kreme McDonald. Steve made up his own garage band and needed a drummer. Roger joined the band and said he was a natural drummer because he had no bones in his arms. They had an argument over the name and Roger quit the band before they even started. Toshi got his little sister to be the drummer by playing a gong.
