Band of Brothers
Guarnere. There were twelve men and two pilots per aircraft. Several planes were hit before the men could even jump.
His leg bag fell off. Easy Company didn't test the leg bag until the actual jump, as a result many lost their guns.
Lipton. After the jump, many paratroopers had to form their own squads with men from other outfits. They would later rejoin their own platoons.
A Luger. Many soldiers were looking for German "souvenirs" to bring home.
He's actually an American and lives not too far from Malarkey. Malarkey says, "Where are you from son?" The POW states, "Eugene, Oregon." Malarkey says that he's also from Oregon, and the two get into a conversation about home.
Manhattan. Guarnere started to call Hall "Cowboy", because he didn't like him. When Guarnere introduced Hall to some of the other men of Easy, he said, "This here is Cowboy." Joe Liebgott said, "You from Texas?" "Manhattan," answered Hall.
Hall joined the men of Easy to capture some German guns, in Normandy, and was hit by a grenade, and died.
Spiers. A couple of times in the series some soldiers of Easy Company were talking about how "supposedly" Spiers greased down 20 POWs. Sometimes, the story changed to 30 POWs.
20. Easy ended up capturing all three guns, and as a result, several men of Easy ended up receiving medals for their accomplishments.
Winters. After Meehan was not heard of for a while, presumed dead, Winters was next in line to take over Easy.
Chicago. It comes up in a conversation between Winters and Nixon. Captain Sobel hated Easy Company from the day he was demoted, and eventually ended up shooting himself in 1988 after a life of hatred towards E Company.
Christenson. As a result, Sobel orders him to walk the hike over again.
Gordon. He was ordered to run Currahee in 50 minutes.
Parks. Sobel considered the peaches to be US Army property and was considered to be stolen. He was discharged from the Airborne immediately.
vat 69. Throughout the series, Nixon progressively becomes dependant on the drink, and became an alcoholic. It also becomes harder to find as the war goes on.
Liebgott. Liebgott jokingly mentions this as a method to take out Sobel.
St. Marie Du-Mont. The objective for easy company on D-Day was mentioned during the mission briefing.
Monte Casino. Bill finds this out when picking up Martin's jacket and finding a letter mentioning this.
Cobb. He eventually rejoins the company. He is later seen hasselling a new recruit who had a medal the regiment was given for D-Day, as the recruit was not involved with the jump. Neither was Cobb.
Able. Hall is the first soldier Winters runs in to. He is also the first soldier to die under Winters' command.
90%. It comes up in a status report between Compton and Winters. There was so much confusion and pandemonium in the skies that the pilots lost their berrings and dropped all of the Airborne anywhere but the DZ. Some paratroopers ended up miles from their designated DZ.
Toye. First it was a German potato-masher. Second it was one of Compton's grenades.
Hall. Was blown up running threw the trenches.
20. The tactics used by Winters to take the guns is studied today in West Point Academy, as it was a perfectly executed base of fire tactic.
Every gun in Normandy. This was a monumental find. It had every large gun in Normandy's placement.
Wynn. He was the first casualty for Winters, but it wasn't that serious. He later returned to the company.
Distinguished Service Cross. It is mentioned in the closing credits. All of the other soldiers received bronze and silver stars.
the sky. He apparently hid in a ditch as soon as he landed, and didn't really do much until members of Easy found him.
5. These were recently obtained off of deceased German soldiers.
Powers. This was an intense battle, but at the end, the Americans took this vital town from the Germans. Shifty Powers sniped 2 Germans at the entrance of Carentan.
