Greatest American Hero
William Katt. William Katt played Ralph Hinkley, school teacher.
Ralph Hinkley. Ralph Hinkley is granted super powers one night, while he and his friend, Bill Maxwell, are out in a wooded area. The pair is met by some aliens, who give Ralph a mission on Earth. His mission is to be a superhero, however Ralph loses the instruction manual that comes with the suit and has to figure out the superhero parts as he goes.
Robert Culp. Robert Culp is a great actor. He has played in 'Greatest Heroes Of The Bible' in 1978, 'Cry For Justice' in 1977, 'Hunger' in 2000, and 'Running Mates' in 2000. The information about Robert Culp can be found at www.IMBD.com.
March 18, 1981. This hilarious series made its debut on March 18, 1981. The series ended on February 3, 1983.
45 episodes. According to the website, epguides/GreatestAmerican, for 'The Greatest American Hero', there were 45 episodes.
'Wizards And Warlocks', 'It's Only Rock And Roll', 'Desperado', 'Vanity, Says the Preacher', and 'The Greatest American Heroine'. Even though the network originally lists 45 episodes, only 40 episodes where aired. These are the ones that never made it: "Wizards And Warlocks", "It's Only Rock And Roll", "Desperado", "Vanity, Says the Preacher", and "The Greatest American Heroine" which was to be made into a new series pilot. Alas, the pilot episode for the new series never made it onto the airwaves.
Connie Sellecca. Connie has played in the hit series "Hotel", starring James Brolin. She also starred in over a dozen movies. She is one terrific actress.
Carlisle. Agent Carlisle was actively pursuing Ralph Hinkley and Bill Maxwell. He was told to find out exactly what Ralph's mission is and to see if he can lead them to the extra terrestrials. Ralph never does lead him to the aliens.
Joey Scarbury. As far as I can tell from doing the research for this quiz, this is the only song that he has sung. I think this a cool theme song. The correct title to the song is: 'The Greatest American Hero (Believe it Or Not)'.
February 3, 1983. As an aside, "The Greatest American Hero" episodes were re-aired in 1986, as it went into syndication.

F.B.I.. Bill was played by Oakland, California native Robert Culp. Culp was most famed for his work with Bill Cosby on the 1960's hit show "I, Spy".
Car radio. Ralph and Bill were kindly abducted to the desert by a sedan under alien control. The aliens were able to mysteriously manipulate the knob on the car radio to synthesize speech via different words spoken/sung on various radio stations.

A little kid told him to try it. After several failed attempts to get airborne in a secluded alley, a young boy who had been watching unbeknownst to Ralph suggested he should try getting a running start.
Pam Davidson. Pam was Ralph's girlfriend, Rhonda Blake was a student, Deborah Dante was a guest character in the season-two opener played by Markie Post, and Holly Hathaway was the woman to whom Ralph passed on the magic suit in the failed spin-off "The Greatest American Heroine".
Mr. H. The moniker is said to have been edited into the show's fourth episode titled "Here's Looking At You Kid" out of respect for President Ronald Reagan. Just two days before the episode aired, Reagan was shot by John Hickley Jr., so the show's producers tactically replaced seven uses of the name "Mr. Hinckley" with overdubs of the more appropriate "Mr. H". The nickname was used diligently thereafter.

Scenario. One of the early scenarios from the season-one episode "Fire Man" involved Ralph and Bill chasing down a bad guy played by guest star Danny Glover.
