Jeff Rice. Answers were verified at Scifi.com. The Scifi channel website under Kolchak
The Youth Killer. And looking very hot, too.
An auto graveyard. I still get creeped when the Zombie opens his eyes.
Polish. In 'The Knightly Murders', Carl visits a Code of Arms dealer who says the name is Russian. He corrects the dealer, saying it is Polish.
El Chupacabra. Doppleganger in FireFall, the android in Mr R.I.N.G., the succubus in Demon In Lace
Her hair is a different color.. For some reason the makers of this OVA felt the need to give Sana the peroxide treatment.
Sawing the world.. Little devils fly about Hayama as he takes a saw to the Earth while Sana daydreams on the set of "Kodomo no Omocha".
She skipped class and Rei had to find her.. Aggravated by Hayama and his lackeys, as well as Mitsuya-sensei's inability to control her class, Sana storms out and heads to a coffee shop. (I wish I could've gotten away with that when I was in school.)
Whack-a-mole. Sana blames Hayama for her nightmares, disrupting class, and making her late for her work meeting, but Rei points out the last was really her fault.
NC. Yup, her shirt reads "I (heart) NC". So the only thing I can guess is that she has a certain affection for North Carolina.
30,000 yen. That's a lotta yen, even though I don't know what the exchange rate is right now.
DONDON. Poor Hayama buys himself a fast food meal from DONDON Hamburgers. (Rakudonalds is a very minor reference from "Sailor Moon R" ep. 51.)
Boxers. Sana's blackmail photo is a picture of Hayama in his vertical striped boxers. (And if you answered French lace panties...I'm scared of you.)
Oyakodon Baka. Baka, as so many otaku know, means stupid. Oyakodon is a dish consisting of, besides other things, chicken and eggs. Sana's point is that Hayama's father (the parent) is the chicken and Natsumi (the child) is the egg. (Did you get that?)
"The Season of Hepatica". At least that's what my fansub says, I can't read kanji very well.
Mika. I don't know if they're supposed to be, but from what i've seen a lot of Japanese TV dramas seem overacted.
Miho is in homage to Obana Miho, the creator of "Kodomo no Omocha".
Naoko is in homage to Takeuchi Naoko, the creator of "Sailor Moon".
Bird. It's funny when he's a bird in the series, though.
Babbit. And after knowing Babbit, how can you imagine life without him?
Let's say the laws of time and space suddenly went all wacky and Sana somehow switched places with another character from another anime who was voiced by the same person as her. What would Sana do? | "Kodomo no Omocha" OVA
|
Steal the weird cat/rabbit that turns into a spaceship and hunt down Hayama.. Yokoyama Chisa who is the seiyuu for Sana in the "Kodomo no Omocha" OVA also plays Sasami in "Tenchi Muyo". Ah, imagine the havoc Sana would wreak if she did get her hands on Ryo Ohki.
(If you didn't know, the other choices were "Ranma 1/2", "Pokemon" and "Evangelion".)
Again, time and space gone all nutty, and Hayama mysteriously switches with another character from another anime who was voiced by the same person as him. What would Hayama do? | "Kodomo no Omocha" OVA
|
Be annoyed by the blue haired weirdo in the short skirt and all her talk of pure hearts. Ogata Megumi who is the seiyuu for Hayama in the "Kodomo no Omocha" OVA also plays Ten'ou Haruka/Sailor Uranus in "Sailor Moon". Too bad for Hayama, Sailor Neptune flirts with everyone except young boys.
(Again, if you didn't know, the other choices were "Weiss Kreuz", "Dragonball" and "Escaflowne".)
1984. The series ran from March 19, 1984 to September 11, 1989.
Ari Meyers. Allison Smith played Jennie Lowell on 'Kate & Allie'. April Lerman played Lila Pembroke on 'Charles in Charge'. Leah Remini was Stacey Carosi on 'Saved By The Bell' and Carrie on 'King of Queens'.
