"Listen, when you love somebody, you're always in trouble. There are only two things you can do about it: either stop loving 'em, or love 'em a whole lot more." Who gave that ageless advice? | "MASH" Trivia-a-thon 5 Quotes

Potter. This surely is a very wise thing to say indeed. It was one of the pivotal moments in "Goodbye, Farewell, Amen". I hope you enjoyed this quiz!
Klinger. A pretty witty quote taken from the mouth of Klinger . Such comments are usually made by Hawkeye or his allies. He said that in "That's Show Biz".
"I don't think this place is turning out to be that great an experience for me. I mean I work under terrible pressure and everything and there's a lot of death and destruction and stuff but outside of that I don't think I'm really getting much out of it." Who made that hilarious complaint?

Sidney. This quote ranks right up there with the best of them. It was first said in "O.R.", and was mentioned later on in the series. Sidney was simply shocked by the amount of work that the staff has to handle, and the effect it had on them.
Frank. This quote is taken from "Private Charles Lamb". "Silly Goose" was one of his few catchphrases, along with "you guys!", "pheew!", and others.
Captain Chandler. One can surely say that this is a logical quote. It was mentioned in "Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler". Captain Chandler was a disturbed soldier who thought that he was Jesus himself. Sydney had a very compassionate look on his face, feeling very sorry for the poor soul.
"Frank, do you know what a hero is? Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, he's somebody who's tired enough and cold enough and hungry enough not to give a damn. I don't give a damn." Which regular said that? | "MASH" Trivia-a-thon 5 Quotes

Hawkeye. This is a very touching and profound quote. Hawkeye was trying to convince Frank of coming with him to find the sniper in the episode "The Sniper", explaining to him that it takes more than showing off to be a hero.
Here's a classic quote from Hawkeye. What's the last line?
"I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the a-train. I can take two and call me in the morning..." | "M*A*S*H" - Quotable Quotes

but I cannot take this sitting down!. This quote is from the final episode of "M*A*S*H", "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen". Hawkeye says this while the camp is being shelled, due to a tank sitting in the compound. He then runs out and drives it into the garbage dump, to a round of applause. This episode sees Hawkeye released from a mental hospital, and the Korean war end.
Charles. Taken from "Cementing Relationships", season 9. This episode follows the doctors' attempts to get a cement floor into the operating room, following an outbreak of post-operative diseases. This episode also sees an Italian soldier take a liking to Margaret, much to her embarrassment and distress.
Who says this?
"Just relax, private. I've done this hundreds of times and no one's ever died of embarrassment." | "M*A*S*H" - Quotable Quotes

Margaret. Surprisingly, Margaret says this in "Point of View" from season 7. This is the only episode shot from a patient's perspective. Margaret says this while giving the patient a sponge bath. She spends the time talking to him, in an attempt to distract him. What does she talk to him about? The necessity to keep the patient distracted while giving them a sponge bath. A classic scene.

Hawkeye. This quote is from "38 Across", an episode from season 5, which sees Hawkeye and BJ try to complete a "New York Times" crossword, and Klinger attempt to eat a Jeep. In this quote, Hawkeye is talking to Klinger after he comes into the OR, sick from eating the Jeep.
A personal favourite of mine, this one is a quote from Klinger. But what is Hawkeye's response?
"That's it, my life's passing before me. Ma, Pa, Laverne. Goodbye. So long, Harry, Freda, Paul. I'm comin' Uncle Jake. I'm too young. No, no, no!" | "M*A*S*H" - Quotable Quotes

Could you at least bleed?. This is said in "It Happened One Night", after Klinger was grazed by a bullet. Klinger later attempts to get pneumonia.
One of Hawkeye's most famous quotes. What comes next?
"I will not carry a gun, Frank. When I got thrown into this war I had a clear understanding with the Pentagon: no guns. I'll carry your books, I'll carry a torch, I'll carry a tune, I'll carry on, carry over, carry forward..." | "M*A*S*H" - Quotable Quotes
|
Cary Grant. This is the full quote, from "Officer of the Day".
"I will not carry a gun, Frank. When I got thrown into this war I had a clear understanding with the Pentagon: no guns. I'll carry your books, I'll carry a torch, I'll carry a tune, I'll carry on, carry over, carry forward, Cary Grant, cash and carry, carry me back to Old Virginia, I'll even 'hari-kari' if you show me how, but I will not carry a gun!"
In this episode, Hawkeye is made "Officer of the Day", and with this, is handed a gun by Frank.
