Jonathan Archer. An Earth science team visiting the Arctic during Archer's time encounters the wreckage of several Borg scouts that had survived for over one hundred years following the events in "Star Trek: First Contact". Archer comes to investigate, but accidentally allows several Borg to escape in a Starfleet vessel. These Borg return to the Delta Quadrant to warn the Borg, but the process takes two hundred years.

Robert April . All that is mentioned of Captain April's exploits as commander of the most famous ship in Federation history can be found in a few "Star Trek" novels. Nonetheless, Gene Roddenberry's original treatment for "Star Trek" named the first captain as Robert April. Though no actors have ever played Captain April, a rare "head shot" photograph of Roddenberry in a prototype "TOS" uniform, taken in 1965, has been accepted as a picture of Captain April.
NOTE -- An animated Commodore April has been seen on the animated series of 1973-74, in the episode "The Counter-Clock Incident".

Lucille Ball . In the 1950s, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz purchased the RKO Radio Pictures studio (for a bargain), named it "Desilu", and produced several shows there, most notably "I Love Lucy" and "Make Room for Daddy". Even after their divorce, they still ran the studio together until she bought Desi out in 1964, making Lucille Ball the first solo female studio head in history. Two years later, she gave the green light to "Star Trek" and "Mission: Impossible", an exceptionally risky venture that prompted the sale of Desilu to Paramount in 1967. The rest, you might say, is history (Some information from the series "TV Land Moguls").

K'mpec. K'mpec (Charles Cooper) died of slow poisoning from tainted bloodwine. Knowing of his impending demise, he called upon Captain Picard to be the Arbitor of Succession for selection of the new Chancellor ("TNG" episode "Reunion").
Koord (also played by Charles Cooper) was the Klingon delegate to Nimbus III in "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier". K'Ehleyr (Suzie Plakson) was Worf's one-time girlfriend, and mother to his son, Alexander ("TNG" episodes "The Emissary" and "Reunion"). Koloth (William Campbell) was the Klingon commander who had requested shore leave on Deep Space Station K-7, and who, along with Kor, Kang, and Dax, fulfilled a blood oath against an albino who had killed Kang's son ("TOS" episode "The Trouble With Tribbles" and the "DS9" episode "Blood Oath").

Quark. Quark, played by Armin Shimerman, speaks the last line of the series. Although he says the last line, Quark isn’t in the last shot, which is Jake and Kira looking out towards the wormhole where Captain Sisko is trapped. This echoes a scene in the season 4 episode "The Visitor" when Jake and Kira look to the wormhole when Captain Sisko is missing.

Jonathan Frakes. Jonathan Frakes holds the honor of being the first "Star Trek" actor to helm an episode, "The Offspring" ("TNG"), in 1990. Of course, the first cast member to direct a movie was Leonard Nimoy, with "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock", in 1984. Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Robert Duncan MacNeill and Roxann Dawson are among the most frequent "Star Trek" cast members to sit in the Director's Chair.

All of these (Benjamin Sisko, Miles O'Brien, Jadzia Dax). Sisko is "lost" in "What You Leave Behind, Part II" (he should be considered MIA since no one is sure when he will return from being with the Prophets), when he plunges into the abyss with Dukat in the Bajoran fire caves. Though now with the Bajoran Prophets, Sisko promises to return someday.
O'Brien dies in "Visionary" after he receives a fatal radiation exposure, though he is replaced by his duplicate from three hours in the future.
Dax is murdered in "Tears of the Prophets" by Dukat, who, while possessed by a Pah-wraith, attacks Dax in the Bajoran shrine. She is replaced by Ezri the following year.
