Ou sont les W.C.?. In France (and most of Europe), the restroom is the WC (water closet). To say 'WC' in French, it's pronounced 'doobleh vay say', although most French people shorten it to 'vay say'.
Quel jour est-ce?. Although the correct answer is what most learn in school as it's the formal version, many French people say "Quel jour sommes-nous?" now. This has the meaning of asking where in time we are. Another variation is "Quel jour est-il?"
To sleep. Aller is to go, appeler is to call, and parler is to speak.
To speak. Manger is to eat, preferer is to prefer, and faire is to make.
To wait for. Appeler is to call, croire is to believe, avoir is to have.
To drink. Commencer is to start, manger is to eat, voir is to see.
To blush. Devoir is to owe, apprendre is to learn, and falloir is to be necessary.
avoir. Aller is to go, etre is to be, and faire is to do or make.
Croire. Boire is to drink, falloir is to be necessary, and vouloir is to want.
Comprendre. Prendre is to take or have(food), mettre is to put,set,or turn on, and apprendre is to learn.
Commencer. Appeler is to call, achter is to buy, and voyager is to travel.
Chercher. Jouer is to play, venir is to come or arrive, and quitter is to leave.
Il est trois heure et demie.. It means, 'what time is it?'
C'est une copine.. It means, 'who is it?'
C'est mon frere.. Do you know that boy?
C'est dimanche.. What day is it?
Donnez-moi un the, s'il vous plait.. What would you like?
Would you happen to have the time, please?. This is the ultra polite way of asking someone the time.
