    F. Although Bonds hit 37 home runs, he was 3rd behind Jeff Bagwell who had 39, and Matt Williams who had 43. Bonds also had 81 RBIS in a season that was cut short by a player's strike. He also hit .312.

1995: Bonds had a 30/30 season this year (homeruns and stolen bases). Who was the last Giant to do this before him?
    Bobby Bonds. Barry hit 34 home runs and stole 31 bases. Father Bobby, last did it in 1973.

1996: Barry Bonds had 42 home runs and 40 stolen bases, meaning that he was the 2nd player to have a 40-40 season. Who was the first player to do this?
    Jose Canseco & Canseco. Canseco did it in 1988 as an Oakland Athletic. Bonds hit .308 with 42 home runs, 129 RBIS and 40 stolen bases.

    F. Bonds hit 49 home runs, to help the Giants win the N.L. West for the 2nd time in 4 years. Despite having the best record in baseball, the Giants lost to the Mets in the first round of the playoffs. Giants fans would feel better as the Mets lost the World Series to the Yankees.

2001: Bonds set the home run record this season with 73. Who was the pitcher who gave up number 71 to Bonds?
    Chan Ho Park. Bonds would also set Major Leage records with 177 walks, and an .863 slugging percentage. He would win the M.V.P. for the first time since 1993. He also drove in 137 runs and hit .328.

2002: Bonds was how old when he won his first batting title?
    38. Bonds became the oldest first-time batting title winner in history, of all players aged 38. He hit .370 with 46 home runs and 110 RBIS. He also set single season records with a .582 on base percentage and 198 walks. He would help lead the Giants to their first pennant since 1989. The Giants would lose the World Series to the Angels in 7 games. After the season, Bonds won the M.V.P. for the 2nd straight year.
