Fun Trivia: B : Beast Wars

Special Sub-Topic: Episode 12: Victory

At the beginning of the episode, the Maximals were watching the Predacons after they had installed a spy cam in the Predacon base. They ended up watching a rebellion against Megatron. Who led this rebellion?

Terrorsaur. It seemed that Megatron was performing an experiment in which he was trying to enlarge an Energon crystal, when it all went belly-up. He told Terrorsaure to bring another, but Terrorsaur refused, and led a rebellion with Scorponok and Waspinator. They started firing at Megatron, and hit some sensitive equipment, severely damaging their base, and destroying the spy cam that the Maximals were using to watch the events unfold.

The Maximals decided to scavenge parts from the Predacon base in order to rebuild their ship. While exploring, Cheetor played a small practical joke on Dinobot. He snuck up from behind holding what?
Tarantulas' legs. Dinobot was told to take point when exploring the Predacon ship, as he knew its tricks and traps. Once he had shown the Maximals where their desired components were, he went to search the rest of the ship. Cheetor snuck up from behind with Tarantulas' legs in hand and startled Dinobot, whose mood just darkened even more.

Dinobot decided he would not be returning to Cybertron, as he would still be seen as a Predacon, and a criminal (pretty much the same reasons as in the last episode). He decided to stay on Earth to conquer and rule it. While he was out walking, one particular animal was almost crushed by the unobservant Dinobot. What kind of animal was this?
A Rat. An albino rat was having a particularly hard day. First it was almost crushed by Dinobot. It just barely managed to jump out of the way, but accidentally jumped into a crevasse. It slid down the wall into the hungry mouth of Tarantulas.

It turned out that the Predacon rebellion was only a ruse. They allowed the Maximals to take the parts from the Predacon base to repair their own ship. Once that was done, the Predacons would then assault and take over the Axalon. What alerted the Predacons to start their attack?
They had been spotted. The Predacons were having a bit of an argument in their close quarters, but Megatron insisted that they stay put, until Dinobot accidentally kicked some rocks down, causing Terrorsaur to yelp in pain. Upon discovery, Megatron ordered his Predacons to attack before Dinobot could return to the Axalon. Dinobot managed to crush the fliers, the first ones out of the crevasse, under a large boulder, but then just made a bee-line for the Maximal base.

Dinobot had been out wandering when the Predacons started their assault, and ran back towards the Axalon, but was shot before he could get there. The Maximals saw this on their cameras, and Optimus went out to rescue Dinobot. Even though he ordered everyone else to stay inside, one Maximal managed to cadge Optimus into letting him provide covering fire. Who was this?
Cheetor. Optimus was about to leave to get Dinobot when Cheetor stopped him, and used some quick words to convince Optimus to let him go. Whether Optimus actually agreed, or was just trying to save time by not arguing is unknown. Tigatron also tried to go after Optimus, but Rhinox ordered him to sit and help with flight preparations and to activate the exterior turrets.

When Optimus was returning to the Axalon with a damaged Dinobot, which Predacon snuck up from behind and shot him down?
Terrorsaur. Optimus was flying backwards and using a borrowed shield to protect himself from the Predacon fire, and didn't even notice Terrorsaur had flown in behind him. After being shot down, Cheetor tried to shoot the flier down, but was quickly dispatched by Megatron. Blackarachnia, Scorponok, Tarantulas, and Megatron had also made a run for the Axalon, but were all blown back by the defense turrets before they could make it.

After being damaged, Optimus had to transform into Beast Mode. All the Predacons were either damaged or missing. He tossed Dinobot onto the exit hatch, and jumped and grabbed a hold himself. However, a Predacon saw the hanging Optimus and shot him off. Who did this?
Scorponok. Scorponok looked up to see Optimus being held on to the Axalon only by Cheetor. He fired a single rocket that knocked Cheetor's hand, and Optimus fell back to Earth (with a thud).

Which Predacons managed to actually board the Axalon (Maximal base) apart from Megatron?
No one. As the Axalon was lifting off, Megatron jumped off a high ledge and landed on the ship. He quickly disabled all the Maximals on the ship, and was about to Crush Rattrap in his T-Rex jaws, but Rhinox jumped up and delivered a few hearty blows and managed to push Megatron down the exit hatch. Mirage was the name of a transformer from the original cartoon. At the end of the three part opening to the show, he was onboard the Decepticon ship as it was taking off, and destroyed the controls, forcing the Decepticons back down to Earth.

Why did the Maximals set back down on Earth?
The systems started to fail after a fight with Megatron. When Rhinox jumped up and gave Megatron a good beating, Megatron's tail piece was knocked off. Rhinox shoved Megatron down the exit hatch, and turned around to see the bright purple tail stuck in the console. The ship's systems started to fail, and it fell back towards Earth.

The ending to this episode is similar to a scene from a movie of which other superhero?
Superman. As the ship was falling, the Maximals looked out the window and saw something. They wondered if it was a bird, or pehaps a plane, but Rattrap soon noticed that it was really Optimus with his jets working harder than ever before (and with the Superman-esque music to go along with it) as he slowed the decent of the Axalon. He even managed to set it back down right where it had originally been).
