Special Sub-Topic: Episode 6: Power Surge
|
The episode opened to see a bird flying along Earth's rocky formations until it was suddenly snatched from the air and eaten by Terrorsaur. What kind of bird was it? |
Bald Eagle. After gulping down his meal, Terrorsaur commented that it was good to be a Predacon. He then flew around a corner and encountered the mysterious floating mountain.
After eating the bird, Terrorsaur saw a floating mountain (very weird). He decided to check it out and found that it was loaded with Energon. When he transformed to scan it, he accidentally charged himself and, with his newfound power, he raced off to challenge Megatron for leadership of the Predacons. Which Maximal was the first to witness Terrorsaur's new power? |
Cheetor. After Terrorsaur had supercharged himself, he flew off to the Predacons with an incredible speed. Cheetor happened to be in the area and decided to follow Terrorsaur (no easy task) to see what was up. After seeing Terrorsaur's takeover of the Predacons, he raced back to the Maximal base to warn them of the imminent attack.
While Terrorsaur was out eating birds and finding mysterious floating mountains, Megatron was back at the Predacon base doing what? |
Demonstrating a new defense cannon. Megatron had the other Predacons: Scorponok, Tarantulas, and Waspinator, all gathered around to demonstrate a new defense cannon he had constructed. It was designed to target anyone with a Maximal energy signature. Many of these cannons would be deployed later in the series all around the Predacon base.
The new, super-charged version of Terrorsaur had a few changes from the original. Which of the following was not? |
New Transformation sequence. Terrorsaur's voice dropped, making him sound all that more menacing, although it reverted to it's normal, high-pitched, squawky nature when the Energon's effects began to wear off. He also used a new weapon that was a lot more detailed and powerful than his standard pistol (Terrorsaur also used the larger rifle in a later episode, "Call of the Wild", even though he wasn't super-charged). Lastly, he had afterburners that allowed him accelerate substantially faster than before. Terrorsaur's transformation sequence, though, remained the same. Other changes included larger shoulder cannons, and a glowing effect all over him that indicated he was charged.
When Terrorsaur went back to the Predacon base, he issued a challenge to Megatron for leadership. Although Megatron was confident before the fight, merely looking for amusement, he soon realized his mistake, and was blown to pieces. Terrorsaur then had to return to the island to recharge, and appointed who as second-in-command? |
Tarantulas. Scorponok was the second-in-command under Megatron's reign, and fiercely loyal to him. Scorponok was not pleased at all when Terrorsaur took over, and was reluctant to pledge his allegiance. Terrorsaur put Terantulas, quite possibly the most intelligent of the Predacons, in charge of assembling the transformers for a full-out attack on the Maximal base while he ran off to recharge himself.
While Terrorsaur was off to recharge after his fight with Megatron, who went to salvage Megatron's remains? |
Scorponok and Waspinator. After Terrorsaur was gone, Scorponok reminded that he was second-in-command, chosen by Megatron. Terantulas was hardly interested in his job at all, and passed it off to Scorponok instantly. Waspinator decided not to make a fuss, and to merely follow whoever was designated leader. Scorponok and Waspinator then went to salvage Megatron's remains to reassemble him at the base.
Who followed Terrorsaur back to his floating mountain and personal Energon source? |
Tarantulas. Tarantulas was quite interested in Terrorsaur's new energy source, and followed him back to the mountain. Tarantulas used his webs to get up to the mountain, though he never got a chance to steal any of the energy for himself. Instead, he ended up tormenting Rattrap while Optimus was busy distracting Terrorsaur.
The Maximals sent Optimus and Rattrap to the mountain to cease Terrorsaur's ability to use it. While Optimus was distracting Terrorsaur, what was Rattrap's job? |
Detonate the island. While Optimus was out distracting Terrorsaur, Rattrap's job was to set charges on the Energon to deny its use to the Predacons. Setting the charges was the easy part, but after, Rattrap was ambushed by Tarantulas. Even though Rattrap used a few slick moves, such as running the spider into a rock, Tarantulas was persistent. Rattrap finally stopped the spider by blinding him by throwing mud in his eyes. Tarantulas, unable to see, just kept running in Rattrap's direction until he ran off the edge of the mountain.
While Optimus did put up a good fight against Terrorsaur when they were chasing each other through the air around the mountain, Terrorsaur eventually knocked Optimus from the sky. Terrorsaur then had the perfect chance to eliminate the leader of the Maximals, yet he restrained himself. Why? |
He had to recharge. Unlucky for Terrorsaur, when he depleted his energy source, he went straight into pre-stasis lock mode, and had to revert to beast mode. Unable to use his weapons, Terrorsaur told Optimus to sit tight while he went and recharged. Unluckily for Terrorsaur, he returned to his recharging station just as the explosive's countdowns reached zero, and he barely got out alive. On his return to the base, Terrorsaur was cursing the Maximals for destroying his energy source, but that at least Megatron was out of the way. However, he soon found out that Megatron was alive, and fully repaired, and ready to take back leadership of the Predacons. Terrorsaur turned white upon seeing the Predacon commander.
With Optimus damaged, Rattrap accepted his inevitable demise as he was stuck on the mountain. However, a solution to this problem soon presented itself, and he managed to get off. How did Rattrap escape the floating mountain? |
On Optimus' back. Optimus was severely damaged from his battle with Terrorsaur, and had to remain in beast mode. He was unable to use his jets, so he took Rattrap on his back and made a jump for it just as the mountain was exploding. They landed in the jungle, and Optimus managed to grab a tree branch.
Transmetal transformers are not introduced until the second season.
