    Tomorrow Never Knows. The seagull noise at the start of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' is a distorted tape of Paul laughing. John wanted to write something like an LSD trip, and he wanted his voice to sound like "a thousand chanting Buddhist monks" sitting on a mountain-top, and his voice was fed through a Leslie speaker. John was disappointed with the result, and wished that he'd hired actual monks.

    Taxman. For those who didn't know, a Beatles cartoon was created. During a bit that was set in the time of Robin Hood, the song Taxman was featured. Also, the guitar solo played in 'Taxman' was used in 'Tomorrow Never Knows' played backwards.

    I'm Down. This song was Paul's attempt at writing a Little Richard Rocker. It went on to replace 'Long Tall Sally' at the end of their live-shows.

    Octopus's Garden. During the White Album sessions, Ringo stormed out at some point, and went to a beach. There he met a fisherman who reminded him of the gardens that octopus' build. "They go around the sea-bed picking up stones and shiny objects to build gardens with, and at the time I wanted to be under the sea too. I wanted to be out of it for a while."

    Mac, Back. This song, 'The Ballad of John and Yoko', was recorded by only John and Paul. Paul played the drums, and piano (among others) and John played lead and acoustic guitar. Not to mention their singing!

    The Walrus was Paul. This song was written by John, who did so because everyone was reading too far into his lyrics. He wrote 'Glass Onion' in an attempt to throw people off. 'The Walrus is Paul' lent weight to the growing theory that Paul had died in 1966 and had been replaced with a look-a-like. In some cultures, the walrus is used as a symbol for death.

    There that's sleeping. This song took over thirty-seven hours and 44 takes to get right. George wanted the sound of a crying guitar, but didn't want to use the wah-wah pedal. The person who ended up playing the solo was Eric Clapton.

    And I met quite a few. This song was done in one take, with eleven edits. The next day, George did some over-dubbing on the guitar.

    1965. This song was featured in the movie 'Help!' the movie during an out-door recording session where the Beatles were heavily protected by the miltary. They were located near Stonehenge.

    1968. The lyric sheet for 'Hey Jude' came up for auction in 1996, and John's son Julian bought it for £25,000. This song was written for him by Paul because John and Cynthia were going through a nasty divorce. On a stranger note, if you listen at 2:58, you can hear John saying "f---ing 'ell" as he messes up on the backup vocal.

In what year was the song 'I Wanna Be Your Man' released?
    1963. This song was sung by Ringo, and when it was performed live, he would usually forget the 2nd verse, and ended up repeating the 1st one. This song was also used by the Rolling Stones. 'I Wanna Be Your Man' was the Stones' first British Top 20 hit.

Which line from 'Come Together' was supposedly taken from a Chuck Berry Song?
    Here come old flat top, he come groovin' up slowly. John was never very fond of the Beatles version, and preferred the one that he performed at Madison Square Garden in 1972.

In 'Blue Jay Way', a fog is mentioned. The fog is over what city?
    L.A.. George wrote this in his house on Blue Jay Way. His friends were supposed to come and visit, but became lost in some fog. Some poeple believe that the line "Please don't belong" was an instruction to drop out of society, but it is just George telling his friends not to "be long".

From the song 'Michelle', what does "Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble" mean?
    These are words that go together well. This song won the Ivor Novelle award for being the 'Most Performed Work Of The Year'. They didn't attend the awards show, so Ross MacManus (Elvis Costello's dad) ended up singing it.

What colour(s) are mentioned in the song, 'Yellow Submarine'?
    Yellow, Blue, Green. When this song came out, many poeple believed that it was about drugs. Paul insisted that the only yellow submarines he had seen were sweets in Greece. A few months later, kids were calling Nembutal capsules 'Yellow Submarines'.
