    Richard from "Jaws". Richard Dreyfus won an Academy Award in 1977 for his performance in "The Goodbye Girl". Dreyfus, the "Empty Nest" star, never won an award for his acting, however, he did make several guest appearances on "The Golden Girls". "Empty Nest" was a spin-off of "The Golden Girls".

    Jan. Titled "Katchoo", in this episode it was discovered that Jan was not allergic to Tiger, but to Tiger's flea powder. The crew attempted to replace the dog, but found it difficult. Eventually, he was written out of the series and never seen again. The doghouse remained so it could cover a burn caused by a falling overhead light in the artificial grass.

Included: Fairchild (a bear), Elmer (a raccoon), Earl (a rooster), Charlie (a skunk), Bessie (a chimpanzee), Gem (a mink), Jethro (a cougar), Harold (a hippo), and Shorty (a sea lion).

    Chester Arthur. In a very funny episode of "The Nanny", Chester is thought to have eaten and torn to shreds Lamb Chop, from "Lamb Chop's Play-A-Long". Later, Lamb Chop is discovered to have been accidentally mixed up with the laundry, washed and dried. Shari Lewis guest stars. Chester Arthur was the President of the United States from September 19, 1881-March 4, 1885. Arthur served in the twenty-fourth Presidential term as Vice-President, serving under James Garfield. After Garfield was assassinated on September 19, 1881, Chester Arthur took over as President.

Murray was the name of the Buchmans' pooch on "Mad About You". A cross between a Collie and a Shepherd, Murray was one of the family on this 90's sitcom. What were the names of Murray's masters, played by Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt?
    Paul and Jamie. Helen Hunt won three Golden Globes for playing Jamie Buchman and was nominated six times. Paul Reiser was nominated four for the role of Paul Buchman, but never won.

Perhaps one of the most famous sitcom dogs was one that was featured on the sitcom "Frasier". This Jack Russell Terrier wasn't just a scene filling pooch, he was actually part of the ensemble that made this show a true classic. What was the name of this scene-stealing canine?
    Eddie. Eddie was played by Moose and Enzo. The canine's co-stars included: Kelsey Grammer, Jane Leeves, David Hyde Pierce, Peri Gilpin and John Mahoney. "Frasier" was a spin-off another classic sitcom, "Cheers".
