He's big. He's ugly. He's green. He's also the king. He also leaves a slight space behind him that those with the jumping power can use to stand behind him and not be hurt. Who is he?

    Wart. At the end of "Super Mario Bros. 2", you have the final confrontation with... Wart? Nintendo relieved Bowser of final villian duties for "Super Mario Bros 2". The Dream Machine, three horns that have the power to make vegatables out of thin air (the solution to world's hunger!), expel vegetables for you to throw at Wart. Six hits and he's done. If you have Luigi or Princess Toadstool, you can actually jump behind Wart and avoid the bubbles he forths from his mouth, though you have to jump over him to get another vegetable. Still, back in the late 1980s when the game came out, that's how my brother and myself would always beat that evil master of dreams, Wart.

"Super Mario Bros 2" introduced Shy Guys into the Mario lexicon. Strange, wearing masks, and members of the "8-Bit Club", they made their debut on the NES but have appeared across multiple platforms and games. A new variety of Shy Guys who wore black robes debuted in what Mario related game?
    Yoshi's Story. "Paper Mario" sports the Black Shuy Guys, although they are wearing grey masks instead of black. The Black Shy guys appear also as a playable character in "Mario Superstar Baseball" and the sequel "Sluggers".

What game does Bowser Jr. debut?
    Super Mario Sunshine. Bowser Jr. debuted in "Super Mario Sunshine" in 2002. The eight child of Bowser, he has taken an active role in his father's schemes to capture Princess Toadstool. Bower Jr.'s biggest ambition is be just like his father.

Koopa Kids, also referred too as Baby Bowsers in two speficic games, are certain Koopas who have a special relationship with King Bowser. What game do the Koopa Kids, AKA Baby Bowsers, debut in?
    Mario Party. The Koopa Kids (or Baby Bowsers) made their debut in the "Mario Party" series. They are minions who appear very similiar to Bowser Jr. and Baby Bowser. They have appeared in first seven installments of the "Mario Party" series, but do not appear in "Mario Party 8" or "Mario Party DS". "Mario Party 5" introduced three different colours for the Koopa Kids, green, red, and blue. "Super Mario Brothers 3" introduced the seven Koopalings, often times referred to as the "Koopa Kids". However, they have not been referred to as "Baby Bowsers". Their official Nintendo designation is "Koopalings", although the seven are known as "Koopa Kids" in various non-game media. There are certain Koopas who have a special relationship with King Bowser. These special Koopas are known by two specific names: Koopa Kids and Baby Bowsers. What game do the Koopa Kids, also referred to as Baby Bowsers in two specific games, debut in?

Hammer Brothers have a large number of different species. We have the Boomerang Brothers, the Fire Brothers, and even the Amazing Flying Hammer Brothers. What game levels introduce us to Calm Amazing Flying Hammer Brothers?
    Vibe Island. The Amazing Flying Hammer Brother first appeared in "Super Mario World" for the Super Nintendo. They launch their hammers from floating platforms. On Vibe Island from the Nintendo DS title "Super Princess Peach", we discover the Calm Amazing Flying Hammer Brother. The primary difference between the two enemies are the calm brothers are sleeping. You must sneak past them in order to not wake them up.

Some Mario baddies start their career in the Mario universe as a villain, only later to convert, not necessarily to the good side, but to a more ambiguous role. One such villain is Wario, was the final boss in his debut title. In the immediate sequel to his debut game, "Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3", Wario becomes the main protagonist. According to one comic in "Club Nintendo", who is responsible for bringing Wario into the Mario universe?
    Dr. Light. Wario appeared in several comics for in the German publication "Club Nintendo". In his first appearance in Club Nintendo, the four page "Super Mario: Die Verwandlung", Dr. Light, trying to cure Mario's pixelation look, accidentally creates Wario. It is up to Mega Man and Mario to save the day from Wario.

The Lakitu enemies appear in the very first "Super Mario Brothers" game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. While largely an enemy in the Mario universe, not all Lakitus are hostile to Mario. What game introduces us to the Lakitu Brothers?
    Super Mairo 64. The Lakitu Brothers appear in "Super Mario 64" as the camera team who films Mario's adventure. They also give hints and give you instructions on how to work the camera angles. As you see Mario from their camera, you only very rarely see the Lakitu Brothers.

Radonkel is a giant bird and one of the main bosses Mario fights in one of his platforming adventures. What's the game?
    Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coines. Radonkel is the bird boss of the "Tree Zone" in "Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins". You must defeat him to get one of the titular golden coins.

Mario sure has a hard time keeping up with his romantic interests. Generally the women Mario takes too are also highly attractive to various monsters and reptilian kings looking for brides. Tatanga, the main villain of "Super Mario Land", kidnaps a certain princess that Mario feels is his moral obligition to go rescue. What is the princess's name?
    Daisy. Gunpei Yokoi, Miyamoto's mentor, introduced Daisy for "Super Mario Land", a game he produced. Gunpei Yokoi is famous for designing the Gameboy, "Metroid", "Kid Icarus", and the Virtual Boy. Due to the disaster of the "Virtual Boy", he resigned from Nintendo. He was killed in 1997 in an auto accident when he was trying to help a stranded motorist.

In the "Jolly Roger Bay" level of "Super Mario 64", we meet Unagi the Eel. Later on in a separate game, Mario runs into a sub-species of these eels known as Mega Unagnis. What game introduces us to Mega Unagis?
    New Super Mario Brothers. Mega Unagis appear in two water levels on the DS "New Super Mario Brothers". Regular Unagis appear "Mario Kart Wii".
