Sasaki. Ohki is his surname before the divorce, Matsui is Fuka's surname, and Sagami is Rei's surname. His father is not a very good person, he doesn't seem to care at all about his kids.

What is the name of the acting school Sana is in?

Komawari. Komawari is actually based on Himawari, a real acting school in Japan. Miho Obana, the creater of Kodocha, tried out fot Himawari when she was young, and actually got accepted! But then her mother found out how much it would cost and said no.

What is the name of Sana's birth mother?

Keiko Sakai. She's so pretty! Sana looks exactly like her! Keiko asks Sana if she would consider living with her, but Sana says that she is happy with her adopted mother and that she doesn't want to see Keiko again.

What does "Kodocha" mean in English?

Child's toy. Kodocha is actually a shortened version of Kodomo no Omocha. The English translators of Kodocha sort of added Sana's Stage on as sort of a subtitle.

Sana calls Rei her "pimp" in the English translation of "Kodocha".

What does Sana's mother do for a living?

she is an author. Sana's mother wrote a book called "The Gigolo and I", in which her ex-husband was the basis for the gigolo. She also wrote a book called "My daughter and I", which was all about Sana. The book revealed to the public that Sana was adopted.

March 7. October 12 is Akito's birthday, December 24 is Fuka's birthday. Sana's name is actually made up from her birthday in Japanese, "Sa" for Sangatsu, or March, and "na" for Nanoka, or seven.
