"Paper or Plastic?"- A New Baby Quiz

Answer: Yes, but only for a "little while"

Two episodes prior, in "Gratitude", Lucy goes into preterm labor. Viewers find out that because of this, she has been put on bed rest in the episode "Wayne's World". When this episode originally aired, it had been two months since the previous episode, "Wayne's World".

It is to be assumed that Lucy had been on bed rest the entire time. In this episode, Kevin tells Lucy that she shouldn't go shopping, and Lucy protests by saying that her doctor has allowed her to leave the house, as long as it's only for a "little while".

Answer: the front

Matt tells Lucy that they should try to "sneak" out of the front door, so that no one sees them. Turns out everyone except Lucy knows that Matt is "sneaking" out of the house with Lucy for 2 hours, so that they can plan for the baby shower.

Answer: green

Matt's carrying a bunch of items, and he is loosely hanging on to a yellow outfit, but Lucy is holding up a green one. You'd think they would have more girly colors, instead of those non-gender specific ones, considering it is common knowledge that Lucy and Kevin are having a girl.

Answer: a big house

Kevin thinks the house is a great idea, but Ruthie and Eric agree that Lucy will be upset that Kevin bought a house she hadn't even set foot in. When Annie is trying to figure out why Ruthie thinks that Annie herself won't like the gift, Annie guesses that it's baby jewelry. Annie hates baby jewelry, especially expensive baby jewelry. Annie says Lucy doesn't like baby jewelry either.

Then Ruthie tells her mother that it's not baby jewelry. Oh, and Kevin had brought Lucy's graduation ceremony to her in the previous episode.

Answer: zoo

Hank Hastings, the doctor who is Julie's husband, took Erica and her little brother (who remains nameless in the series) to the zoo. Erica and the boy are Julie's kids. Deborah Raffin plays Julie, Eric's only biological sibling, and was one of the three main guest stars in this episode.

They start discussing how this is the strangest baby shower many of them have ever been to- no mother! The food's good, though.

When the clerk asks Lucy if he can help her and her husband with anything, Lucy gets very defensive, and tries to explain Matt. She manages to say, "No, no! He's NOT my husband." The clerk then says, "Father, boyfriend, whatever, we're just pleased to have your business." Then Lucy says "He's my brother!" (And she really emphasized the word "brother".) The clerk then says, "The customer is always right." He doesn't believe her at all.
Lucy starts to get angry with Matt because he isn't wearing his wedding ring. Sarah doesn't want people at work to know they're married, and he forgot to put the ring on again before coming to Glenoak. Lucy can't wear her ring because her fingers are swollen. She forces Matt to try on rings, and the clerk says, "How sweet, they're getting married."
However, when Lucy is in labor in the elevator and Matt asks if the clerk can call some people for them, Lucy mentions Kevin, her husband. The clerk says to Matt, "So you're really the brother?" Lucy and Matt both say "Yes!"

Answer: "Maybe you will... Maybe you will."

That made you think Ruthie had a little crush on Martin! He's only two years older than her. That seemed like a bit of foreshadowing on "7th Heaven"'s part!

Answer: Savannah Kinkirk

Lucy Camden married Kevin Kinkirk, and finally the Kinkirks have a baby named Savannah. Lucy tells everyone that her baby girl's name is Savannah. Savannah Kinkirk. They decided to name her after Savannah, Georgia, where the couple spent their honeymoon. Aww... (Tell me of any other misspellings of Savannah Kinkirk with a correction notice, please!)

Answer: Ruthie stays put, Sam and David in what was originally Mary and Lucy's room, Matt on the couch, Martin in the garage apartment, and Kevin and Lucy in Simon's old room (with the baby next door in the connected room).

Unless you are a big fan of "7th Heaven", that part of the episode was probably pretty confusing. Ruthie now gets to remain in her attic room, and Sam and David get more privacy - now they won't be in a room that is connected to another room. Oh, and Martin in his own apartment provides a chance for future conflicts regarding it specifically. Eric doesn't know if Martin's old enough for his own apartment.
