    Idaho State University. I really enjoyed the University. Many students couldn't afford to travel to other states for schools so ISU was able to keep many intelligent students. The faculty members I encountered were, for the most part, very good and concerned teachers.

    Latter Day Saints. The vast majority of the population was LDS and it would have been political suicide to criticize the church in any way if running for a city office.

What city is about a 2 1/2 hour drive south of Pocatello?
    Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City is the closest large city. Many people felt it was nothing to drive there and back for the day. There is also very good skiing just outside of Salt Lake.

What exciting cluster is about a 2 1/2 hour drive northeast of Pocatello?
    Tetons, Jackson Hole and Yellowstone. This whole area is beautiful. Great places for a number of types of recreation including rafting, hiking, skiing, and fishing.

What premium vacation spot is about a 2 1/2 hour drive northwest of Pocatello?
    Sun Valley. Sun Valley gets many celebrity sightings during ski season. It is also a beautiful area at other times of the year.

    F. Pocatello is considered to be located in a desert environment. It has an abundance of sage brush.

Pocatello has an exciting night life and many cosmopolitan offerings.
    F. Pocatello does not offer hardly anything to do in the evening which was great for me since I was very busy in school and didn't have any money. It's a great place if you do not want any distractions.
