Special Sub-Topic: Terry Pratchett's Igors...Comes Around

How many thumbs did the Igor in 'Thief of Time' have when he was working for Jeremy?

Four. We find this out when Igor is explaining to Dr. Hopkins that Jeremy is acting quite normally - this from a man with four thumbs and stitches all round his neck.

Where did Igor in 'Thief of Time' not follow Lady LeJean?
to the opera. Igor, suspecting Lady LeJean of not being a real person, tails her to an alleyway, where she vanishes. He also follows her to a hotel, and to a large house where she bought 'the lease to a very large bar of gold'. By the time Lady LeJean visits the opera or art galleries, Igor is paying someone else to follow her. It's strange that she never seems to visit restaurants or have food sent in.

Who was the Igor in 'Night Watch' not allowed to get back on his feet?
Sergeant Stronginthearm. Carcer kills Sargeant Stronginthearm before going back in time and Igor is upset because Sam Vimes won't let him get him back on his feet - even though Sam says 'It's not like sewing a leg back on. And dwarfs are dead set against this sort of thing'.

Who were we told was the next person to join the 'In and Outs', after Polly had been recruited under the name of Oliver Perks?
Igor. Igor sounds like a pretty standard Igor - black suit he could have been buried in (and looked as if he had), cobwebs all over his suit and stitches across his forehead.

Who helped the Igor in 'Monstrous Regiment' when they first met the Borogravian wounded?
Tonker. Tonker's qualification is that they had helped their mother butcher pigs. Sergeant Jackrum considers that better than an army surgeon!

Did Igor in 'Monstrous Regiment' know about newspapers?
    y. Igor's 'thecond couthin Igor in Ankh-Morpork' had explained that 'They're like a kind of government announthement'.

What did the Igor in 'Monstrous Regiment' sometimes forget to do that revealed to Polly that 'he' was a 'she'?
Lisp. Female Igors don't lisp as much. This one had shaved her hair and kept it growing in a jar. The stitches were just for show. All the soldiers in Monstrous Regiment use socks.

What are female Igors called? (We learned this in 'Monstrous Regiment').
Igorina. Igorinas are just expected to stick to the needlework aspect, but as Igorina pointed out, she was good at the incisions as well - especially the fiddly bits.

Scraps, Igor's pet in 'Carpe Jugulum', was nine-thirty-eighths Rottweiler. What parts?
'Two legth, one ear, lotth of tubeth and lower jaw'. Unfortunately, he's got a spaniel brain, so the savagest thing he can do is hold people in his jaws and beat them senseless with his tails. Or drown them in dribble.

What was Igor's triumphant shout in 'Carpe Jugulum' after he'd reanimated the Old Count and he'd materialised?
'Old Red Eyeth ith back!'. Although Igor had whispered 'That one'th for Thcrapth' when he dropped blood onto the Old Count's dust, this was his shout when he appeared. It's a song by one of my favourite groups, The Beautiful South (without the lisp of course!) I hope you enjoyed my second Igor quiz - and always remember, 'What Goeth Around, Cometh Around'.
