    Garjzla. When Arya transports the dragon egg out of danger, the Shade tries to stop her by yelling "garjzla", which means "light".

What was the first word from the Ancient Language that Eragon used?
    Brisingr. While Brom and Eragon were investigating the pile of bodies in the center of Yazuac, two Urgals who had stayed behind attacked them. After injuring Brom, both of the Urgals cornered Eragon. Eragon strung his bow and shouted "brisingr" as he released the arrow. The arrow started flaming and killed both Urgals.

What are the word(s) used to scry?
    Draumr kópa. Scrying is a magical method of looking at someone or something that you have seen previously without being right there.

The name of Eragon's sword is Zar'roc. What does Zar'roc mean?
    Misery. Morzan was the first and last of the Forsworn. Zar'roc was originally his sword and he named it "Misery".

When Eragon touched Saphira for the first time, he received a mark on his hand called the gedwëy ignasia. What does "gedwëy ignasia" mean?
    Shining Palm. The gedwëy ignasia was carried by all Dragon Riders once they touched their dragon. The hand that the mark was on would always be their stronger hand for using magic.

When Eragon escaped into the hallway in the prison of Gil'ead and killed all the guards save one, he said a certain word that means "sleep" to the last guard. What is that word?
    Slytha. When Eragon finally escaped out of his prison cell, a row of guards were rushing towards him. However, Murtagh had snuck into the prison and he and Eragon killed all of the guards except for one. After threatening to put a burning handful of dirt into the man's insides, the guard finally told where Eragon's weapons were. After he told, Eragon told him "slytha" and the guard fell asleep temporarily.

    farewell. Sé onr sverdar sitja hvass means "May your swords stay sharp" which is said multiple times in "Eragon" and "Eldest".

When Eragon tried to make water out of dirt, what word(s) did he use?
    Deloi moi. Before making a plan to go through the Hadarac Desert to escape, Eragon tried to make water to ensure that he, Murtagh, and Saphira wouldn't die of thirst. He took a walnut shell, filled the inside with dirt, and directed his magic to that little bit of dirt, saying, "Deloi moi" or "Compress the earth". That method used too much energy, so he ended up bringing the water from under the ground to the surface.

In Teirm, Eragon went to visit the herbalist Angela. What were the three words from the Ancient Language that Angela spoke?
    Manin, wyrda, hugin. When Brom and Eragon were in Teirm staying with Jeod, Eragon decided to check out the herbalist's shop beside Jeod's house. While there, Angela said three words from the Ancient Language: Manin, wyrda, and hugin, which means memory, fate, and thought.

What is the word that Eragon messed up when trying to bless Elva?
    Skölir. While Eragon was in Ellesméra, his instructor showed him that instead of blessing the child Elva in Tronjheim, he had cursed her by saying "skölir" instead of "sköliro". Skölir means "a shield" and "sköliro" means shielded. Eragon made her "a shield from misfortune" instead of being shielded from it.
