These men were all President of the United States. Which one of them died first?

    John F. Kennedy. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Johnson succeeded him, dying in the early 1970's. Truman lasted until '72. Eisenhower had about eight years of Golf before going in 1969. Nixon passed on in 1994.

The obligatory Rock Star question here, which one of these rock performers died first?
    Buddy Holly. Buddy Holly, along with J.P. Richardson and Ritchie Valens, became the first major rock and roll death in 1959 when his plane crashed.

Which one of these famed religious prophets died first?
    Buddha. Buddha lived around the year 483BC. Jesus died around 40AD, give or take a few years. Mohammed lived in the 7th century, while Joseph Smith of the Mormons lived in the 19th century.

These people were all among the cast of the 1955 movie 'Rebel Without a Cause' one of my favourites. Which one of these cast members died first?
    James Dean. James Dean, famous more for his attitude than for his acting ability, starred in only three movies before a traffic accident took his life in September of 1955.

Famous Comedians time... The grand comics of old, from George Burns to Moe Howard, they're all here. Which of them was there to greet the rest as the first to enter the beyond?
    Fred Allen. Fred Allen, noted radio and film comedian, was there to greet all his friends and competition into the great beyond, as he went first in March of 1956.

Which legendary leader was the first to step down from the throne the hard way?
    Alexander. Alexander, better known as Alexander the Great, had come to dominate Macedonia in the fourth century BC. He died shortly after his return from India, in 323BC.

The Light Bulb, The Telephone, The Television and more... Inventors have made our life what it is today. Which one of these inventors checked out first?
    Benjamin Franklin. Benjamin Franklin, who was one of the founding fathers of the United States, was noted for inventing many things, including the Franklin Stove, the lightning rod and the bifocal lens. Franklin led a long and prosperous life, making possible many things we think are common sense today. Benjamin Franklin passed away in 1790.

Which one of these notable writers finished his last chapter first?
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is most famous for his creation of the character Sherlock Holmes. With his sidekick, Dr. Watson, Doyle's Holmes set the standard for the modern mystery novel. Sir Doyle died in 1930.

Another US Presidential question... Which one of these presidents was the first to die in office?
    William Henry Harrison. William Henry Harrison, most famous for being a General in the Indian wars, was president for only one month before dying of the Pneumonia he caught at his inauguration ceremony. Harrison won the 1840 election on the slogan 'Tippecanoe and Tyler Too', which ended up backfiring on the Whig party because John Tyler, his successor was thoroughly despised by everyone in Washington within a year of taking office. The Whig Party was to elect only two presidents, both of them dying in office. President Harrison died in April of 1841.

Which one of these British Monarchs saw the end of their empire first?
    Edward III. Edward III, also known as Edward of Windsor, was the son of Edward II and Isabella of France. He made a play for the French crown, claiming heredity via Isabella, thereby starting the 100 years war. Edward III died in 1377.

Being a revolutionary is a dangerous profession. Which of these noted revolutionaries died for their cause first?
    Sir William Wallace. Sir William Wallace was a Scottish Knight and champion of the independence movement in that country. He is known to audiences today mainly from the Mel Gibson portrayal of him in the movie Braveheart.

Which one of these Watergate conspirators was the first to go meet JFK in the afterlife?
    John Mitchell. John Mitchell was the first to go, in 1988. A decorated Navy veteran, Richard Nixon led the funeral procession. Mitchell had been one of his most ardent supporters. Mitchell served 19 months in prison for his role in the cover up.

The Third Stooge role was always the volatile one in the five decades that the Three Stooges performed together. Which one of these third stooges was the first to meet the reaper?
    Curly Howard. Curly, who's health deteriorated young due to his heavy drinking, succumbed to a stroke in 1952. He'd had many strokes over the preceding five years, beginning with one on the set of 1947's Half Wit's Holiday. Shemp followed him three years later in 1955. Joe Besser went in 1988, with Curly Joe being the last stooge, finally passing in 1993.

We all know about the gunfight at the OK corral. Which one of the participants in that gunfight got the least amount of time to tell about it?
    Morgan Earp. Morgan Earp was assassinated in Tombstone Arizona just about six months after surviving the gunfight. Doc went next, dying in bed in 1887. Virgil and Wyatt lived longer lives, with Virgil dying at age 62 in 1905 and Wyatt outliving all of them to age 80 or so, dying in 1929.

And for our final question, we go to the infamous Chicago 'Black Sox' team of 1919. Which one of players in the game listed here was the first to go to the ball diamond in the sky?
    Shoeless Joe Jackson. The 1919 Black Sox scandal was one of the lowest points in American Sports History. It sullied the integrity of the game and disappointed millions. Eight players were banned from the game, with Shoeless Joe Jackson being the first to escape from the shame, dying of a heart attack in 1951. In their defense, however, these players had been treated shabbily for several years by greedy owner Charles Comiskey and did what they did because they needed money that Comiskey refused to give up.
