“Eric, you really shouldn’t use the F-Word to talk about Jesus.”

Butters from "South Park". In the episode ”Christian Rock Hard“, Eric Cartman has bet Kyle Broslofski that his Christian Rock band will get a platinum record before Kyle’s group. However, unbeknownst to Cartman, Christian bands don’t get gold and platinum albums - their designations are “gold, frankincense, and myrrh”. Out of sheer frustration on his album going myrrh, Cartman cuts loose with a stream of profanity, alienating his Christian fans and provoking this, at first, gentle rebuke from his drummer, Butters. When it becomes clear that his career has been ended by Cartman’s outburst, the genteel percussionist uses less palatable language to convey his displeasure with Eric.

"A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man."

Jebediah Springfield from "The Simpsons". The semi-legendary founder of Springfield, once unanimously believed to be a great nativist patriot in the tradition of Daniel Boone, is now widely thought to have been a German-born pirate who once assaulted George Washington. "Where I come from, a lab partnership is a sacred trust."

Baron Underbheit from "The Venture Brothers". For those of you who have not seen "The Venture Brothers", Baron Underbheit is one of Dr. T. S. Venture’s arch-enemies, ostensibly because Venture was responsible for the destruction of Underbite’s mandible in college, forcing him to wear a steel prosthesis. The exact nature of this lab accident has yet to be revealed as of this writing.

"Not in the face!"

Arthur from "The Tick". For the uninitiated, Arthur is an accountant who finds a moth suit that enables him to fly. Beyond this, he is essentially unqualified to be a super hero. Of course, this does not stop him from playing sidekick to the nigh-invulnerable Tick, whose inexplicable battle cry "Spoon!" contrasts with Arthur’s decidedly less intrepid "Not in the face!"

"Don't kid yourself, Jimmy! If a cow ever got the chance, he would eat you and everyone you cared about."

Troy McClure from "The Simpsons". You might remember Troy McClure from such films as "The Revenge of Abe Lincoln" and "Mommy, What's Wrong With That Man's Face?". This exchange comes from his lecture on "the food chain" in the educational video "Meat and You -- Partners in Freedom" from the "Resistance is Useless" series. "Stop eating all my stuff!" (Hint: he means ALL his stuff - we're talking a big, blue WORLD of stuff here!)

The Tick from "The Tick". In the episode “Alone Together”, after being presumably killed in an explosion on a the moon, the Tick encountered Omnipotus, an overweight space giant (based on Marvel Comics character Galactus) who is intent on eating the Earth. The Tick is finally able to convince Omnipotus that, if he really is a friend, he will refrain from eating the planet - including Arthur! The corpulent devourer of worlds does take a bite out of the moon, however - a fact referenced throughout the series.

"That’ll do, pig."

Eric Cartman from "South Park". In an episode from the first season (whose name would almost certainly be eliminated by the prudent editors at funtrivia.com), the boys attempt to win the school science fair by cross-breeding an elephant and Cartman’s pot-bellied pig, Fluffy. For some reason, the offspring ends up closely resembling their teacher, Mr. Garrison. Mortified, Garrison awards the boys first prize, leading Cartman to praise Fluffy with this line lifted from the movie "Babe".

"And I picked two beautiful kidneys. I feel freaking amazing!"

Doctor Venture from "The Venture Brothers". In "Dio De Los Dangerous", set in Tijuana, protagonist Dr. Venture wakes up in a bathtub full of ice with both his kidneys missing. For a while, he uses his father’s robot, Helper, as a portable dialysis unit, but by the end of the episode he has convinced his sons to play rock/scissors/paper to see who will donate a kidney. They both pick rock, so they both lose a kidney. For those of you who have not yet seen the series, Dr. Venture is not the most altruistic cartoon character out there.

"The only woman I'm pimping is sweet lady propane!"

Hank Hill from "King of the Hill". In the 2001 episode “Ho, Yeah!”, Hank Hill hires Tammi, a “soiled dove” from Oklahoma City, to work at Arlen Propane. She soon starts practicing her old trade on the side, however, leading the townsfolk to believe that Hank is her new pimp. This image is reinforced when Hank starts wearing a stereotypical pimp hat (a gift from Tammi) and intimidates her old pimp, Alabaster Jones, when he shows up in Arlen. When “King of the Hill” character Dale pleads with Hank not to pimp him out next, Hank makes the above proclamation.

"Aha! So they *do* make bigger diapers! That deceitful woman told me I'd have to learn to use the toilet! Well, fie on the toilet!"

Baby Stewie from "Family Guy". Ah, yes, Baby Stewie. This megalomaniacal baby genius, whose plans to rule the world nearly equal those of Pinky and the Brain, was originally based on classic film actor Rex Harrison. I hope you enjoyed this quiz.
